I'm 5'4". In June 2010 I started at 210 lbs. after having twins and now I've been maintaining between 117-120 since beginning of November. It takes time and patience, but it can be done!

1. What's the cheat you are cutting out? not drinking enough water 2. What's the alternative? drinking 60 oz of water a day Sorry this isn't really a vice and alternative, but it's something I really need to work on.

What's your name? Rebecca Where do you live? Los Angeles, CA What are your food vices/ cheats? I eat pretty healthy, but I should add more fruits, veggies and water. What do you think is holding you back from being in your TOP shape? not having enough time for exercise What's your favorite exercise? running What exercise…

This is really just a personal choice. You have to do what works best for you. Either way can be successful. I knew going into this that I didn't want to do anything that I wasn't willing to do for the rest of my life. So I chose not to weigh or measure anything and to not enter all the little things: ketchup and mustard…

Don't know if you have Trader Joes where you are, but they have Chocolate Bon Bons that are delicious. They are rich enough that I don't crave more than one. They are 60 cal ea.

Ditto to that. That would have made me absolutely crazy! I weighed and measured nothing the whole time I was losing weight. I guesstimated everything from the package. I still lost 90 lbs. I'm sure my weight loss was slower than if I had weighed or measured, but I wanted to only make changes I could do for the rest of my…

Ditto on that. Best to keep it low impact (like walking) and keep your calories at maintenance + exercise calories until you can see your doctor. I had twins (which is considered a high-risk pregnancy) so my dr. had me on walking only. But some women can run marathons up until delivery (like that lady last year did in…

Thank you NItalynne58 and LittleMissAng! Congratulations on your progress!!! I think as long as you're making choices every day to be a little healthier than you were the day before it's always a good thing. We all have different journeys on this path. We should all be applauded for doing the best we can towards our health…

I lost 90 lbs by eating healthy w/o formal exercise. So by your theory I would be better off if I had done NOTHING and stayed at 210 lbs?!? I'm a single mom of three year old twins who works 60 hours a week, but I guess I'm lazy. It's a constant struggle to eek out any kind of personal time for myself and that includes…

Veggie burger with avocado, provolone, pickles and mustard (just had this for dinner) grilled cheese made with cinnamon raisin bread and provolone (it's like dessert) Turkey, avocado and cheese Rustic bread with dry ricotta cheese, figs and honey (This came from a restaurant we used to order from at work. It was amazing…

I agree. Do what works best for you, but I would have gone crazy weighing stuff. I did this for a 1 1/2 years and I never weighed or measured squat. I always guessed on just about everything. Somehow it still worked, so it's probably ok to make a rough estimate now and then.

I ditto the other post that said to try spinach in fruit smoothies. My 2 yr old nephew won't touch ANY vegetable, but my sister-in-law makes those and he has no idea. They are delicious and if she hadn't told me I wouldn't have known either. You can probably make a decent chicken or veggie soup using most of those veggies.…

You look great! 105 would be pretty tiny, but you are very young still and look like you have a small frame. As you lose more weight try on concentrate more on body fat percentages and just being healthy. According to a height/weight chart, at 5'3" small frame, 111 is about the lowest "healthy" weight, but that's for an…

Change the IMG's on both sides to lowercase. I had this problem yesterday!

I usually just give myself a break a few days before (when I really crave extra calories), like letting myself go over my calorie goal by 100-200 calories. I'm still at a deficit, but just slower weight loss. It keeps me from bingeing. Here is a link to a weight watchers article about this (apparently your metabolism does…

Ok...I cheated and did top 15: 1. avocado (I add it to everything) 2. broccoli or brussel sprouts (just steamed) 3. hard boiled eggs 4. veggie burgers (favorite item to order at restaurants with avocado) 5. Trader Joes Chocolate Bon Bons (60 cal. ea and just the perfect amount of sweet) 6. California Rolls & edamame…

Well...it's not going to get worse! :-) I had twins, so I had some serious mum tum. Horrible stretch marks and rolls of sagging skin. I started at 210 and am at my goal weight of 120. It's much much much better! I will probably never wear a bikini, but I don't have much of a pooch anymore. I lost most of my weight without…

I am 35 yrs old, mom of twins and 5'4". I started at 210 lbs. in June 2010, joined MFP in Sept 2010 (just realized this week there are message boards!) and now I am currently 120 lbs. I'm pretty much at my goal weight, but I lost all the weight without exercising, so now I just want to tone up. I might have to actually put…
