i'm Jackie, 34 from Birmingham, UK. I started running a few years ago, completed 2 half marathons one in 2012 & one in 2013. since the race for life 5k last June I haven't done anything! AT ALL!!! its time to get back on track and I have signed up for a 10k in May so need to get back at it.

13 mins isnt that bad for a beginner.... dont worry about your speed that will come later, i have been running for a few months and very rarely do i go faster than a 12 min mile but i am ok with that because at the moment i am building up endurance that will help me in the future when i am ready to try and run faster :-)…

i lost quite a bit of weight on the slim fast diet in the beginning. when i started dieting i would have one for breakfast and one for lunch then a healthy meal for tea. but after about 3 months i found i wasn't losing any more weight so i dropped it to breakfast only and ate a healthy lunch instead. the same thing…

i normally add some mint sauce (straight from jar) to the tuna and mix it in with some pasta.... or if i havent got time to make pasta, i just eat it straight from the tin :-)

i just bought casilan 90 simply because it was the only one less than £10 lol but it can be mixed with anything, so i opted for milk and it was ok, but then i added cocoa for 'added taste' and YUK!

hi there, firstly ... forget what the scale says... the lost inches and toning up are brilliant! secondly, it may be water weight.... it may be that you need a new set of scales....try mixing up your exercise, do you do planking? thats brilliant for the core and abs :-)
