It took me about 9 months to lose about 100 pounds and one year and 4 months to lose the last 65. I still have about 75 pounds to go. When you first start out it seems daunting but be assured losing a lot of weight can be done. I would really encourage you to first find out what caused your morbid obesity in the first…

I too was morbidly obese. My starting weight was 375. How does it feel to lose 100 pounds! AWESOME! I can actually walk without having to sit down every few steps, my back doesn't hurt all the time and my overall health is better. Lower cholesterol, lower blood pressure. I sleep better. If you're struggling to lose weight…

I don't have any pics yet but you can add me for support. My food diary is open and what I would say there are two major keys to successful weight loss if you are really heavy. Get to the core of what caused your weight gain in the first place and get that fixed and consistency in eating right and exercise. I started off…

1) I found out this world is not just full of bad people who don't care. My MFP friends rock! 2) My daughter is doing better in school. 3) I found more purpose in life.

It's taken me a little over two years to lose this much weight. I use the biggest loser books as my base and build on what I've learned. The most important for me to have this kind of success was getting to the root of what caused my weight gain in the first place, getting that fixed and then setting myself up for success…

I'm 40 and most of my weight is in my middle. To kick up my metabolism I eat every two to three hours. I eat between 1350 and 1520 calorie a day but I eat a lot of food because most of my diet is lean meats, fruits and veggies and whole grains. I still have a junk food meal once a week and two desserts a week so that I…

I was 370 pounds when I started and I didn't push myself because it was too much so I started off slow 5 minutes 2x a week in the very beginning. I walked outside and on the treadmill. Moving is moving. To lose a lot of weight you have to start out slow and work your way up into a routine. You are not going to be training…

I used to be morbidly obese. Now I am just obese. I have lost 155 pounds with about 80 to go to reach my goal. The most important thing to remember when losing a lot of weight is getting to the core of what caused the weight gain in the first place getting that fixed and then setting yourself up for success. I used the…

From a person who has lost over one hundred pounds my best tip to you is to find out what caused the weight gain first. Getting that fixed is very important to any kind of success with big amounts of weight loss. Then set yourself up for success by having the right foods in the house. I eat whole and healthy but don't…

We're already MFP friends but I'll gladly give you some extra support. When I started out needing to lose 235 pounds it seemed daunting at first but what made me successful with this first 152 pounds was getting to the core of what caused the obesity in the first place, getting that fixed and setting myself up for success…

I have been thin and treated differently than when I became morbidly obese. I used my obesity as a shield to hide myself from the true me which was broken and in great need of repair. I knew I was teased and looked over all the time. I got the looks of disgust and did a lot of the same things you did. When I started losing…

time and completely distract yourself. Give yourself time to grieve but don't let it consume you. Find something you like a lot and do that thing. Cut off all contact with that person so you don't further injure your soul and be patient with yourself. It's a process.

You are one of the most amazing people I have ever seen. You should really a book about your experiences. Truly inspirational and awe-inspiring. I have no doubt that you will lose all your weight and talk about what you went through and how you survived. I loved to read your story on how you overcome even the toughest of…

I lost my first one hundred pounds in about a year but remember slow and steady always wins the race. You shouldn't be losing more than 2 pounds a week for it to be healthy and long lasting. This is about changing your life so you take it one day at a time sometimes one moment at a time. Learn about what caused the weight…

I eat between 1200 and 1500 calories a day and have lost almost 150 pounds doing so. I'm eating every few hours. I just eat whole and healthy and eat a lot of food. What works for you may not work for someone else. It does not by any means that you are depriving yourself or starving yourself. It just means this is what…

I'm doing pretty well. Under 100 pounds to lose now. My current goal by the first of January is to hit the 150 pound loss mark. I have nine more pounds to get there. I turn 40 years old in April. I want to be in onederland by then. That's 30 pounds away. I hurt my knee from over exercising about a month ago so the weight…
