  • I take a multi vitamin, fish oil GLA (helps the arthritis) ALA vitamin D (mine gets horribly low in the winter months - have to get the big guns from the doc) and vitamin C
  • This is where my problem lies - I cant figure out HOW to deal with it beyond my typical response - eating. I truly don't understand how some of you find time to go to a gym...honestly, if I got up any early or went to bed any later I'd just flat out not be sleeping. I do well in the morning, but in the afternoon, between…
  • Hi, I'm Jenna - I'm 41. I've been married for 8 months!! I have a daughter (20) who is in college, and my son (17) is a senior in high school. I teach high school orchestra - I love it! But it puts a real strain on my time. I'm at school for rehearsal by 6 a.m. each day and when I finally leave the building I'm typically…
  • overwhelmed.....trying to work full-time and take care of aging parents...not cool.
  • Best thing I ever did for myself! If shes old enough, to have it done, by all means - do it! The procedure isn't bad at all. Just make sure you have a trustworthy doc - good luck!
  • My husband - the uber biker - was peeking over my shoulder when I read this one - here are his suggestions - It could be that the handlebars are too low or the seat is tilted to far forward, causing weight to shift toward the hands. If neither of those are the cause then try 'bar ends' attached to the handlebars to give…

  • You all are great - thanks for the "keep your chin up" motivation and the suggestions - especially the water, I forget about that. This was just one of those days - a VERY sincere thank you to everyone and the help and support you offer! J~
  • Alas, I too have fallen away - I'm great with the excuses.....But I'm doing what I can to get back at it - I wish I had only gained a pound or two, so I have some "do over" which makes me madder than anything. However, we can do it!!! (positive thoughts, positive thoughts!!)
  • My lower back usually gives me issues if its not being strengthened regularly. I see a chiro on a semi-regular basis to keep me aligned and facilitate "peak flow". But if I'm not strengthening my low back muscles (cycling should work well, of course there are other ways) they will weaken and WHAM - I'm hurting. This…
  • No question - its pretty amazing to find out what you ACTUALLY consume. We think we're doing so well - but the accountability really REALLY helps! Good luck - and keep it up!!

  • I'm 5'10" and my goal weight is 195. I think I'm a medium-large build. I know the "recommended" weight for me is 160 or so, but I dont know that I'd ever get there, nor could I maintain that. At one point in my life I was 180 and I think I looked a bit too thin - but we'll see what happens when I start getting down close…
  • I'm currently using phentermine, doing the calorie counting and whatever exercise I can fit in. My life right now doesnt afford much workout time and I'm a stress eater. My doc is watching me and I'm losing SLOWLY - about 1 - 1.5 a week, I'm also only using 12.5 mg a day, just enough to kill my appetite. I'm NOT using it…
  • you're frustrated with the high school class you're teaching and tell them they have to the count of 5, and then start counting..... funny thing is....it worked!!!
  • I'd smack one of those guys upside the head with one of those crutches....they should be holding the door for you whether you're damaged or not!! What happened to chivalry??? (no offense men.. I know there are a few of you out there still and it is appreciated) :flowerforyou:
  • As a single person who is overweight I know how disappointing it is to be turned down because I'm not built like barbie and I would appreciate someone taking the time to get to know ME before they make a judgment call about what kind of person I am by the way I'm built.... HOWEVER - making it look like its OK to just be…
