Day 5. Still light headed and tired tired. I check BP and it is normal. My first check in tomorrow. Trying to stay off scale. As much as I have suffered i feel that i should have at least lost 10 lbs!!!!!! (have not) Hope next week will be better. Thanks for the encouragement.

Wow! It is really a simple thing. We all look for the shortcuts. Great job. YOur daughter will never remember you as the "big Mom". What a role model for her.

Oh, and what is that thing in the picture? I am clueless.

Wow! What a great idea. Okay. I'm Sharon. I live in Louisiana, currently waiting for Hurricane Isaac to come through Baton Rouge. I am 56, love music and love my dogs!!! I have been on here since May 2o12. I think the reason MFP is so successful is the friend aspect. I keep my diary open for accountability. Did really well…

Raisin bran for the fiber. Quaker Oatmeal squares dry for snack or put in yogurt, original Fiber One to put in salads for fiber, crunch and to change it up.

Wow!! that's amazing. You look great. And you know what? The scale is just a number. My scales say 17 lbs but my clothes say 2 sizes because i have toned up my rear end and legs from walking. The difference of 30 lbs is huge. Good luck on the rest.

So glad you learned this at your age instead of spending your whole adult life fixated and controlled by food. And did it the right way. Amazing story and i hope you inspire other young women like yourself to be healthy.

I don't think it is a physical addiction as much as an mental and emotional one but can begin to affect you physically over time. Food truly should be used to fuel your body. If you use it as comfort, stress relief, anger relief, in any way to make you "feel" better than it it no different than alcohol or drugs. I do…

The food logging is important, it is usually the first thing any successful diet plan incorporates. That is very eye opening to some who have never done it before. MFP makes it really easy to track. Once you start tracking, you start to realize that exercise gets you more food. That motivates you to start moving. You see…

8 glasses is a general goal. You are actually supposed to take your weight and divide it by two. That is how many ounces you should have. So the larger your size, the more water.
-
You look great. Even your complexion looks better and you definitely look younger!!!!!! Good for you, you are halfway.
-
Love it!!!! You look wonderful and confident! i have no doubt you will make it to your goal.
-
Amazing. You deserve lots and lots of credit.

I was craving something sweet last night and had leftover calories. I toasted a whole wheat oro rounds and put Nutella on them. I ate all of it, 100 +200 but if you just eat 1 slice and 1 tablespoon its not bad for 150. It def satisfied my sweet tooth. Oh, had fat free milk too. And still stayed under goal for the day.…

i have one. I was 52 when i got it. It is on my lower stomach. My sister and I got matching ones to honor our mom who died 20 yrs ago in a car accident. Tattoo's are a lot more acceptable than they used to be. My dad had a big rose on his arm that he got when he was in the service. As kids we were mesmerized by it.

When i really want something i try to eat other things to keep from eating it and still want it and end up eating it anyway plus the other stuff. I ate almost a whole loaf of warm french bread the other night. It happens. i just got back on the next morning. You have a really good attitude. YOu will be fine. Did you enjoy…

My favorite is absolutely outside. Vitamin D, the birds singing, no distractions. Sometimes i use music, sometimes i work through a problem in my mind, look at the houses, sometimes i just enjoy. I have 3 dogs and they love it. I have a route measured out and try to improve my time. On a treadmill i just watch the clock.

For many of us, eating has been a life long addiction. Whether it's emotional eating, stress eating, insecurity eating, etc. we became overweight for a reason. I think that each person has a way that they are motivated. I have to keep a very rigid path. Keeping my diary open and logging EVERYTHING I put in my mouth daily…
