40 isn't bad. I was super excited about mine, and planned to have my FIRST EVER birthday party. I wanted to do all the silly things I missed out on as a kid: a magician, face painting, "pony rides" (trail ride), and a pizza party supper. Then my favorite band came to town for a concert that night. I rocked out instead.…

anyone can add me. :) I've been a little quiet since Sandy hit our area. But once the trees are cleared out of my parent's yard, I hope to be in full swing again!

That's a tough one today! I got chores accomplished today....so when the hurricane crashes trees through the house, and floods wash the rest away, no one will think I'm a slob.

Size 10 jeans.

Get some pamphlets about eating disorders, hand her one, and tell her to get help. :)
-
Not in my experience. I lost 30 pounds, and am down 1 size. I'm sure there's lots of variables that come into it also. For me, inches matter in sizes more than weight. :)

I heard about it. A coworker is always trying to find the easy way out. It's not really 17 days, but 3 stages that are 17 days EACH. Sounded unhealthy to me.

Hand them over to me. QUICK! I can take care of those for you!

I sometimes get terrible leg cramps. My aunt swears by Tonic Water with QUININE for leg cramps. I tried it, and HATED the taste. I found some tablets at a health food store "Leg Cramps with QUININE". They're kind of chalky with a little sweetness that dissolve under the tongue. They work really well! ALSO, make sure you're…

8 glasses is the average. I once heard from hubby's doctor that people should drink 1 oz. of water for every pound of body weight. I've also heard that TOO MUCH water can flush certain minerals & vitamins out of your system, and also be harmful.

A friend of mine published a book. I bought and read a copy. No editing. Someone stroked a horse's MAIN. I told her. I hope the next book is better.

OMG everyone on this thread is making me laugh. I need that. Add me too. I promise to be funny after vacation.

I'm proud of you for trying! I wish I could offer some helpful advice. Getting pregnant is "easy", it's keeping yourself and your baby-to-be healthy that's important. Good luck!

OH heck yes!! I just had one the other day. I'm not sure if it was hormones, or something else. It started at night, and lasted all the next day. I avoided as many people as I could, so I wouldn't say something terrible. It took all my will power not to turn to comfort foods.

For me, just being aware of what and how much I was eating was a big help at first. I love snacks. I never could have enough. Once I started logging in all the food I was eating, I decided it wasn't worth it if I had to log it in. The weight started coming off, despite being WAY over my calorie 'allowance" every day. I…

Oh donuts! Don't beat yourself up over it. Just use it as a learning experience. Next time the evil donuts tempt you, you will be stronger. :grumble: If someone offered me certain donuts right now, I'd do the same.

I made scrambled eggs in the microwave (no butter, less fat & calories), 2 eggs is about 140 calories. Add toppings and a beverage. :drinker: Good luck!
-
AWESOME!! Maybe I could do the same! Just as soon as the phone is charged, so I can have music.

Oh I like it when the scale moves towards my goal!!

Some days, 1200 seems impossible. OK, I admit, if I'm going for Papa Gino's pizza, I have NO control. :blushing: But, I've done it for a little while now, and have been UNDER my daily "allowance". I'm not starving myself either. I'm just making smarter eating choices, finally. :drinker:

I have a scale that measures % body fat and water. I generally use it nightly, but there are fluctuations!! It once gave me such a huge variance, I nearly threw it out. I replaced the batteries. It's better, but I still get on it 3 times in a row. If the weights are all within a pound of each other, I'll log in the…

Don't give up. :flowerforyou: When I started, I didn't care what I ate or how many calories I ate. Once I started logging it all in, sometimes, I'd stop for the day, instead of having a snack before bed time. I'd look at a snack, and think it's not worth it if I need to log it in, so I would't eat it. The weight is slowly…

I totally understand!! I started MFP in May. None of my summer capris fit anymore. I'll get rid of them, but only halfway to my goal weight. If I get new ones, do I go for my current size or the smaller one? I got one pair of jeans at a thrift store for now. I only wear drawstring scrub pants at work, so those don't matter…

Me too. Wonder why?

You can do it!! I felt the same way when I started! I didn't limit what I ate, I just logged it in. It's amazing the snacks I wouldn't eat because I'd have to log it in if I ate it. The pounds started coming off, I started feeling better. I just recently started watching the calorie intake, and paying serious attention to…

Good for you!! Great will power!!!

The food is kind of a buffet/family style (all you can eat). It's always delicious, so menu doesn't matter. It's going to be hard to make healthy choices even though they will be available. When they bring out platters of fruit, cheese, crackers & pepperoni for snacks in the evening, that's one of my weaknesses. :drinker:…

My profile pic has one of my cats, Mellon, and me napping. All of our cats are rescues. >^..^<

I just adjusted my settings from 1200 to 1100 calories. You can add me. :)
