I put on 322 pounds in that place- watch out.

Not sure since none of them really bother me but Trutein is only 40% whey (40% is casein and 20% is egg white) so maybe it will agree with you better?

Good post- planning is the key. I love going into Monday having a weeks worth of healthy lunches pre-made and ready to go. A little bit of work up front saves money and hassle dealing with traffic, lines, weather, etc. to get some lunch each day. Easy accurate logging too- when you make it yourself you know exactly what's…

Haha so glad I came back to this thread- I had no idea they had the Shamrock Shake flavor available. Not sure if it will disappear right at midnight or not but I was just able to order some just under the wire if so. :drinker:

^Yep. Muscle Pharm Combat Powder is pretty good too.

For your first example I would just enter the components (8oz turkey, medium potato, .25 cup milk, .5 tbsp butter or whatever) for things more complicated with more ingredients I enter them in as a recipe- especially if it's something we prepare frequently.

I struggle the most with sticking to my eating plan at parties or family get togethers. Seems like between never eating on time and just an abundance of food choices almost always ends badly.

^I agree 60 seems way high. I'm usually around 30-35psi but then again I ride in a lot of sand. Edit- using a MTB on the road 60 may be the way to go I missed that part

This was really helpful thanks. I think my issue was pointing my toes out too far and it was really bothering my hips after the fact.

Early on before I worked out much in the way of form I got pinned under the bar a few times where I was just in bad position and just had to leave the bar on the safety rails. Fortunaly the rails were at the right height so it wasn't a dramatic event.

I started early last year by just walking the dog- that's it. But by spring that turned into bike riding around my neighborhood...and then by summer I was cycling and mountain biking and adding in some isolation type weight lifting a few times a week. This year I bought a power cage and Olympic weight set for my garage and…

I will give that a try- thanks.

I have tried to adjust my squat form to the low bar type described in the Starting Strength book and suddenly my hips are kind of hurting and keep cracking when i sit down/ stand up/ move/ etc. Maybe I'm doing something wrong because they were not hurting before when I was working more based on the EFS…

Find some cardio you enjoy. I can't stand cardio machines to I get out in the fresh air to hike, bike, kayak, etc.

Thanks for excellent advice throughout. My 2c is this group is awesome and so much better than asking questions in the fitness and exercise section it's not even funny.

Haha I can relate to that part for sure

My daughter is probably 5'8" at 12 years old- I'm 6'3" but my wife is fairly short so she was taller than her mom before age 11.

I agree he seems to be suggesting more of a body-recomp eating around maintenance level for 'fat guys' but I have repeatedly read elsewhere that's not the most efficient process- that it is better to cycle cutting and bulking.

Meh- New formula improved me from obese to overweight- but according to a DEXA scan last week I have 190LB of LBM and this tool says I should weigh between 157 and 212. If I ever got to 212 I would be at 10% BF- I don't even want to think about being at 157 at 6'3".

Outstanding work. It's inspiring to see confirmation of the whole 'we all started somewhere' saying.

Outstanding

The most important thing is to find some kind of exercise you enjoy and can stick with. Forcing yourself to do something you hate is pretty much a recipe for eventually just quitting altogether. And it may appeal to you more down the road at some point.

Nice work!

My 12yo daughter has had Type-1 since she turned 8. It seems like you get everything going smooth and then something changes and here come the highs or lows. I know with her the exercise really pushes out and can drop her levels into the night. There is a nice group you may find some good feedback in:…

I always weigh it pre-cooking but have to say I have wondered about the fat drippings too.

Just stumbled across this thread Sara- you are truly inspiring.
