I guess Austin was the biggest city half-marathon that I've done. Next was StL. I definitely prefer the smaller crowds when it comes to racing, but I wouldn't mind trying out something big at some point... maybe Chicago or NYC. Have 2 on tap for tonight. Slowly but surely building the mileage back up.

Howdy all. Got out for 2 on Monday and running 2 or 3 with my gf tonight. QotD: I definitely make a point to pay attention to any pains I may be having. Soreness and stiffness is normal, of course, but it's good to identify when a pain is seeming not normal and to back off. I'm kind of like Brian with stretching these…

I love running at about 50 degrees on a sunny day. Getting out in cold weather is always tough, but always feels good once I get going. Heat + humidity is definitely the worst in my book. Alt: Got out for a trail run/hike in Shawnee Nat'l forest. 3.6 miles in the Little Grand Canyon. It was great!

I just got back from a weekend trip in Nashville. We stayed at an airbnb in east Nashville, and ate at a place called the Hop Stop. Had an awesome hot dog. Didn't get a chance to see Music Row and all the touristy stuff.

I do something very similar to Steve but I do not use a HRM. I simply slow my running down to as slow as I need to go to catch my breath and get my heart rate down, although I do focus more on my breathing than HR.
