I generally don't carry water on most of my runs unless they are over an hour, and I haven't had one of those in a long time. The park I usually run in has several water stops along the way and I stay very hydrated throughout the day. I'm planning on getting a short run in either Sat or Sun.

Hell no! I know you said this is not a place to spew my political feelings, but I can't help but promote my candidate of choice: Giant Meteor will end discrimination, corruption, and gun violence, just to name a few issues. Vote Giant Meteor!! But in all seriousness, I really wish we could just try the primaries over again.

Reading about how to approach food differently has been a great help for me along the way. The message boards were a big help for me, and I recently read "Food Rules" by Michael Pollan, and just started "Omnivore's Dilemma" by the same - I'm enjoying both so far.

Charlie, I believe you can friend other MFP members. Just click on their names and it goes to their profile, then there is an option to add as a friend. You can then send private messages or write on his or her wall.

I think of "stickies" as posts that stay at the top of the thread instead of moving down chronologically, such as faqs or something about the board. But I think the announcement feature at the top is just as good, so no probably no need for it!

I'm pretty happy about the GoaD migration over to MFP. I switched over here a couple of years ago and it'd be great to have MFP people find the GoaD board to absorb some of that classic GoaD wisdom. I haven't found a community group quite like the GoaD board here, so hopefully this place starts bouncin!

Personally, I don't think there is a much of a difference between name brand and generic multivitamins. I go for the walgreens one-a-day brand.

I was at a friend's house and they had a Wii Fit. I got on for the weigh in, and I watched the little avatar blow up until it was obese. That was back when I weighed 270. I'm 214 now, and still working to get to my goal of 180.
