I'm proud that I went for a 2 mile run during my lunch break at work, even if it was cold! Oh, and it's been 2 1/2 weeks staying true to my new years resolution, which was to give up fast food entirely. Still going strong.

What a blessing to have people support you in that way! Treasure that letter as motivation to keep you going! Congratulations on your success, you're an inspiration to everyone around you :)

Your story is amazingly motivating! I'm hoping to have the same results and same reactions from my inlaws when I visit them next summer :) How was your mother's reaction??

I have had the Mirena consistently for 7 years. Though I'd skip a month or two in periods, I never noticed any cramping or breakthrough bleeding during or after workouts. But it doesn't seem like you're alone in your symptoms, definitely want to check with your doctor.

I really appreciate everyone's feedback on this topic!

I glanced at myself in the mirror and the first thing I thought was NOT, "oh God."

Right now my main goals is to lose weight and tone. My only lifting "experience" is the bodypump class I take, though look forward to lifting in the future once my goal weight has been reached.

I have a desk job that I work 6am-3pm, 40 hours a week. We just recently moved into our new facility which I love as it's right next to a nice 2 mile nature trail that I run during my lunch break.

Tonight I saw a picture of myself on Facebook taken two weeks ago, and for the first time in a long time I didn't cringe. I actually thought to myself, "Self, that's not too bad. You're getting there."

I'm a knitter too and I totally have yarn shopping down as a future reward! Mine so far has been a new workout outfit and new running shoes. Once I hit my goal weight, my last reward is getting a (my first!) tattoo as well! Great minds.

I am going through the same thing, losing alarming amounts of hair in the shower. I was wondering if it was due to my changes in diet. I've been very anemic during certain times in my life and I've never experienced hair loss, and I don't currently have any of my usual symptoms. Still, sounds like I should look into some…

You look phenomenal! Great job!

I am SO impressed with your poses, wow! I've done a few yoga videos, they REALLY kick my butt, makes me sweat more than any cardio videos I've done.

Nice change! Your dedication is very motivating, thank you for sharing!

Amazing job!!

You look incredible! Congratulations on your success!

I do have a wonderful support system! And I still have a tear-jerk reaction when I think of the difference between my attitude and confidence level trying trying on and purchasing clothes 5 months ago to today. It IS nice to feel sexy for hubby, and BELIEVE it.

We tried on many, many pairs of shoes to finally figure out the ones we want. Now that I know exactly what type of shoes I want, I will definitely look into buying them online in the future. I didn't know about JC Penny's free delivery to the store! Will definitely have to take advantage of that. Thanks so much for the tip!

Thank you very much!

I bet you'll start noticing little things here and there more and more often! Great job!

One of my most recent proud moment is when I, hesitantly, reached into my closet to pull out the my business casual pants that I grew out of over a year ago and tried them on. Much to my delight, not only did they fit but the last time they felt that loose was a good 5 years ago!

Congratulations! And CUTE dress!

I don't really like cooking, but I have made some amazing food using recipes from www.dashingdish.com and www.skinnytaste.com. Easy recipes, different food, SUPER GOOD, and they have all the calories/WWP listed as well. Many of their recipes can also be found in MFP's food database.

A friend sent me this link to an article to help prevent shin splints when I was running 3 times a week.. TOTALLY WORKED, they don't bother me at all anymore. Just walking on your heels every now and then--it's like night and day.…

See now, I'm 5'0, started at 200lbs and was almost too big for my size 16 pants. When I was 130lbs (years ago), I was never smaller than a size 9/10 pants size because of my hips and stomach, and this was before I had my kids. I'm short, but unfortunately not petite. Completely depends on where you carry your weight.…

You can add me, too. I have at least 40lbs more left to lose and I'm in it for the long haul!

I love MFP community, and the accountability. At times when I have the urge to grab something fast foodish at lunch, I'll pop onto MFP and read some success stories and it motivates me to stay on track. I love seeing the progress of others and I can't wait to put my beginning/progress/goal pic up someday.

Well sweet, I just assumed you only get the fuzzy viking helmet and no t-shirt. Are you doing the one in North Plains, OR? I'm signed up for Sunday, Sept. 9th :)

When I work out in the morning, I will eat 1/2 english muffin beforehand and then have some celery sticks w/ peanut butter on hand to eat afterwards. The half of english muffin is little enough that I don't get stomach pains but it keeps me from constantly thinking about food during the workout.

I started developing shin splints when I started running back in March. A friend gave me this link: http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Ftriathlon.competitor.com%2F2011%2F02%2Ftraining%2Fhow-to-prevent-shin-splints_19447&h=zAQE8pwXGAQGcAKV1nKfiSIUXAoCYat2GuQfgarGPA1iBQw Just walking on the heels of my feet for a…
