I would say the maximum time is when it gets moldy or depending on the type of milk you use, it goes sour. I've used both dairy milk and almond milk. I prepare Monday through Friday's oats on Sunday night. They have always been fine. If you're not comfortable letting food sit around that long, you can always make just a…

The way that oreo fits in the little cup is so satisfying! Super cute

Looks really good! Here's mine from Monday, been eating out so many lunches lately, I haven't had much chance to make a lunch. This is hard to see, but on the bottom is red & white quinoa, then a layer of edamame and on top, some shredded chicken breast. There is soy sauce in the little pot, and some carrots in the lid.…

Not only did they tax the diet soda the same as regular soda, they specifically did not tax items like added sugars in juice, or sweet tea which has nothing but sugar in it. It was odd, and most people just went into the next county to get their fix. It turned out to be more damaging to the local businesses than to…

I've been bento-ing my snack box, and since it's cute I thought I'd post it.

This week's lunch, green tea soba noodles & shrimp sauteed in sesame oil, garlic, soy sauce and ginger, with broccoli. I did up my snack box too.

Here's what it looks like:
-
It's pretty simple. Brown the ground chicken, toss on the chili powder, and mix, then literally dump the rest of the ingredients in and heat through. Even though everything is listed in grams, it's actually a whole can/package of each item.
-
I agree with Sober Lisa! That chicken looks great, did you make that? This week has just been leftover chili and fritos for lunch. I still pack it cute, though. I should probably take a pic before snarfling it for lunch every day

It's a type of cobb salad. It has romaine, blue cheese, bacon, chicken (mine has ham too), egg & avocado. It's supposedly named after the restaurant that invented it.
-
Thank you much! This week's lunch is brown derby salad, so nothing too exciting. But, it's the first time I get to use my new round containers.
-
Mine is pretty unimpressive, but I like it, I eat it daily with a bunch of berries. It's a modified recipe from Eat Lift Play Repeat. The recipe lists Vanilla flavor, but the picture is of one made with the chocolate flavor.

This is what my fridge looks like every Sunday night. Grab n' go!

Now that tax season is here, I pack two meals daily, breakfast and lunch. The breakfast sits for about 2-3 hours and the lunch sits for about 5-6 hours before getting eaten. I have an insulated lunch bag for them. I've been meal prepping for the last month or so, so daily for the week, I have the exact same lunch.…

I personally like getting a cabin in the woods near a state or national forest. So serene and peaceful. Good place to think and enjoy the beauty of our world.

Today's bento of planned overs in the cute box my mom bought for me. Saffron rice, black beans & cheese with tortilla chips on the side to be crushed on top.
-
Today's lunch and snack bento. Lunch is leftover takeout rice w/ some furikake, edamame, sugar snap peas and shrimp sauteed in bit of sesame oil, and a green tea cookie. I've decided I'm okay with my lunches being nearly all green. I apparently like green  Snack box is an egg shaped egg (it started as a car shaped…

That's best. My mom called them garlic and onion flavored rubber bands. They don't really have a taste of their own, kind of like tofu, but they have an egregious texture.
-
I tried konjac noodles. There are no adequate words to explain how nasty those are. My dogs wouldn't even eat them (and that's saying something, the only food they wouldn't eat prior to that was sugar free jello). I got a narutomaki roll from the Japanese market I just found. Wasn't sure what it tasted like or what to do…

My uncle named his grey cat "grey cat" but called her grey-c (gracie) it was cute!
-
Did you make that?? That's awesome looking
-
My guess would be no, does it have any symbols or writing on the bottom? @mangrothian can read Japanese.

I realized I didn't have a lunch plan this morning, so it was frozen bento stash to the rescue this morning. Jasmine rice, shrimp and edamame. No fancy box today because I didn't have the time to thaw everything to get it in nicely.
-
Bahahahaha!!! Seriously though, your lunch looks super tasty!
-
Looks great! So...gotta ask. What's a purple sweet potato? Does it taste different than an orange one?
-
Boring snack lunch bento. On Fridays husband always wants to eat big, and I have no self control, so I eat light for lunch. You see here two eggs, pretzels and laughing cow cheese and a chocolate panda cookie. 353 cals total.
-
I know, I know, husband already gave me a hard time! You're going to see them all week. Here was today's very green bento. Shrimp, edamame, rice w/ furikake & broccoli. I've noticed that many of my lunches tend to be monochromatic. I guess I just like green stuff?
-
Today's snack bento & lunch bento. Snack box has pretzels and the nasty-est chunk of brie known to man (did not eat it!), egg shaped egg and carrots. I eat one tier per snack. Lunch box is edamame, broccoli, rice w/ furikake and pork/black mushroom dumplings. Kind of a heavy lunch, but for some reason, I've been starving…

I'd say anything that can sit around until lunch without needing refrigeration. I like blanched veggies, edamame, hard boiled eggs, fruits, dumplings, etc. My last trip to the asian grocery resulted in a bunch of new foods to try and I mostly had to look up how to use some of the foods. Me too! Although that may be the…

Not silly! I freeze the rice in 1 cup gladware containers, then microwave it in the morning. Room temp (it sits on my back credenza all morning), I then eat it at room temp. But, to be honest, I did that before bentoing. You can actually re-heat it again, but many of the fancy boxes don't take well to the microwave. If I…
