I got most of my cutters and cups from Amazon. Cutters , round cups , rectangle cups and itty bitty cups I've also seen stuff at Meijer if you have those near you.

She sounds awesome and that panda plate is adorable! I too am a bigger fan of black beans over kidney, but I have no problem finding them canned. It's a bigger problem finding the no or low sodium ones. I don't think I'm up for soaking and cooking dried beans.

Oh Noes!! We'll since I have my phone, here's today's bento  It's my go to, I don't have time, easy bento, pork & mushroom dumplings, edamame and rice mix. I made a snack bento too, but there's nothing exciting to take a picture of there. Except, I did get panda cookies for 81 cents on clearance. So, there's that...

Happy Birthday! And cake totally trumps all. Beautiful salad! I love big salads.

No bento today, but I did make ramen tonight for dinner! Husband was much less appreciative of trying something new. Exact conversation: H: Why is there an egg in my ramen? I don't like hard boiled egg. Me: Shut up and try it. H: But egg yolk is gross. Me: Shut up and try it. H: Takes a small taste. Oh, well I guess it…

I saw the baked korokke recipe too. I've never had a baked or a fried one before, but they look so good in anime >.> If you try it, you'll have to let us know how it was!

Today's bento! Chicken w/ sesame seeds, mixed rice, broccoli, carrots (italian dressing in the pot) & something called prune plums. Total cals 430.

Oh! I read that without looking at the picture, and couldn't figure out why you'd put Reese pieces in the mac & cheese. Good thing the picture clarified that  Your lunch is very cute!

Dup!

Lunch today! The rest of the lemon chicken, broccoli, asparagus, ancient peppers and rice under everything. Cals 350. I wanted to stuff a hard boiled egg in there too to get the calories, but couldn't figure it out, so my bunny egg is now a snack. First time using this box, but I've had it a while. eta: Ha! If you look…

Welcome! Grab a tupperware & let's get started

We're a pretty friendly group, feel free to ask any questions, someone will answer you!

Depends on the box. Mine are a bit larger than @mangrothian. I took a picture of my box today alongside a soda can for reference. They are generally pretty small, we zoom in for the pics. I have no idea how large my box from today is, but I'd have to guess 550-600 ml. The general rule is 1 calorie per ml of size, but…

Here's yesterday's bento eaten today, lemon chicken, rice mix, edamame, a tamagoyaki fail, and bean sprouts.

I didn't realize the owls were that big, I didn't order one because it looked too tiny for my skills. I have a bento for today, but woke up with a migraine, so I will probably eat and post it tomorrow.

Sorry, I only understand '80s slang. :sunglasses: Fingers crossed for bento tomorrow!! I have meat thawed to give a go at at least something...

Thanks for sharing! I don't know how she didn't cut her fingers off slicing that carrot up :astonished:

The onigiri on the right looks a bit scared  It's so cute!

I've also had many a disaster. If I ever get my rolling skills down, you may actually see one. For now, the doggies get a lot of weirdo looking egg sheets.

I have bento! It's boring, but I have one  Lunch is pork & mushroom dumplings, rice mix, edamame & carrots 426 cals. Snack box, has smoked almonds, a plain ol' egg, Trader Joe's edamame thins & a laughing cow cheese, both snacks total 393 cals.

This is the best tip ever. Making my rice stash helped tremendously, and I was able to stop buying the pre-made microwave rice. Pre-measured means I don't have to think about it, just nuke and pack. I haven't got up to making the meat and veg stash yet, but I hope to someday get that organized. Husband mentioned he hadn't…

It's fun and not as tough to do as it looks. Grab a tupperware or a gladware and give it a try

I figured the 4 noodles and part of a yolk he ate weren't worth the adjustment

No bento for me again. My husband has been working opposite hours of me, so by the time I get home, make dinner, exercise, take care of the crew, I'm too tired to make lunch. Just to share what happens if I don't have him to run interference, here's last night's ramen dinner: Apparently my new kitty has a taste for miso.…

I love champagne grapes, but I could never really get over the fact that you're supposed to eat the stems. It's too weird.

 I thought the "hair" was intentional, I love it, it's so cute!

Hmmm, love Hello Panda! Never thought to look at World Market, I think there's still one of those nearby...runs off to check the maps

It looks awesome!

PB2 is just peanut flour. Try in the flour section of your grocery store if you can't find actual PB2. I've also found peanut flour at Trader Joes if you have one of those nearby.

I don't think you'd have to switch to eating meat, but I love chicken breast & egg for the protein. If you're still mostly veggie, beans are the way to go. From here: Oh, and have you tried PB2 in the greek yogurt? I like mixing PB2 in vanilla greek yogurt and using it as a fruit dip.
