I was on Topamax for years, the breakthrough ones were the worst, as the meds made you realize what pain-free looked like. I had to switch two years ago to gabapentin and I don't have as many breakthrough ones, and they generally are pretty mild when they do (only 2 or so really bad ones a year) but even so, I still don't…

I don't. The Dr said to give walking a try as exercise was supposedly going to make it better, but it only made them worse for me. Sometimes I can hack a walk during the hangover as it generally doesn't make it worse, but it certainly doesn't make it better either.

@LilSweet2015 Seconded on the tofu! It looks delish. Everyone's lunches look great today, high 5s all around. Got too lazy last night and got up late today, so no lunch for me
-
@sagj, you made my day!
-
Thanks for spending your first post here! Your bento looks great (with the exception of the pickles which in my opinion should be wiped off the face of the earth, but that's just my problem  )

Thanks! There was a dinosaur one too that I didn't get, but yes, they were in the clearance section for $1.99 each. Owls would have been cute! Husband agreed to take bentos for lunch as long as I don't send him with my Hello Kitty box. He said he has to have standards! His boxes are pretty easy to make as I don't need to…

I have a few cotton drawstring bags that came with some of the boxes, but I have several different bags I use for daily use here's the main one I use, and the bigger one I use during tax season because it needs to hold breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Husband uses a plastic grocery bag, so I guess to each his own.

I hit the Meijer last night, I found in the clearance section some cute boxes, three styles, and on an endcap they had the rubbermaid and Sistema "box collections" (not sure what else to call them), I got everything pictured for around $13. Then, of course, I had to try them out. Today's lunch is rice with a chicken, straw…

I know exactly what you mean. I'm rarely on the non-grocery half of the store, so I'll need to go patrolling. The lunch box area is usually what you pack for grade school kids (well and me  )
-
Whoa! Where in the Meijer??? I live across the street from one, I need to check this out! By the other lunchbox stuff in the kitchen section?
-
@LilSweet2015 Here's an old list. I bought the vast majority of my stuff on amazon, but I got a bunch of stuff from Jbox/Jlist. I also started buying from aliexpress as well. The stuff is super cheap, but you have to wait forever for it to be shipped from China. I just received this in the mail yesterday, took about 2…

Thanks! Looks like I can get them at Whole Foods. There's not one in my town, but there is in my Mom's town, I may be making a trip... @colejkeene What is the green thing in the bottom right corner? I thought a lime, but I can't tell. The lunch looks tasty, it's nice to see other food preps on here as many people assume…

I generally don't eat salad dressing, but it's more because I don't like it on salad than anything else. My salads usually have something creamy in them, like avocado or gorgonzola cheese that makes me not miss eating them plain. I say if you like dressing, eat away! (haha, in moderation  ) eta, where do did you get…

Same here, I can slam a whole french baguette if given the opportunity. Partly why the sammie is in the husband's box :naughty:
-
@linstapler thanks for sharing! Your pictures and your kitty look awesome  Here's tomorrow's bento. DH's on top, he has pb and banana sandwich, carrots, ranch dressing, fritos, a cheddar cheese block (you can't see it) and some non-pareils. Mine is my one of my usuals, dumplings, almonds, edamame and broccoli.…

What's funny is I didn't want to clean off my counter for the picture, so I put it on top of the book! I didn't even think about it until later
-
Built up some of my bento freezer stash today! Here are my bento (on the right) and DH's bento (on the left). We both have a salad, his with salad dressing and a peanut butter cup, mine with gorgonzola cheese. My main tier is rice, sesame seeds, shrimp and edamame. His is rice, sesame seeds, chicken with kung pao sauce,…

@LadyAhiru if you don't mind me asking, what did you cook your veggies in? The sauce looks tasty!
-
Epic first post! Your lunch/dinner looks awesome
-
HAHAHA! That totally made my day :naughty:
-
Here's today's bento. Rice w/ furikake and shrimp sauteed in sesame oil, sugar snap peas, a baybel cheese and almonds. Heavy on the cals today @ 501.
-
@pronetocrash91 You don't need a fancy box, you can try this out with tupperware!
-
It's close enough, and they look fun! Here's today's lunch. Pork & veggie dumplings, rice w/furikake, yellow bell peppers, carrots, green tea dessert thing, and almond/cashew/cranberry mix. 477 calories.
-
Thanks for the pork recipe! I think I actually have a tenderloin at home too
-
I has a sad today as I have no bento, and all this great bento stuff at home. Last night, I was too tired to put one together and felt it would be the morning me's problem. Then forgot to get up early enough to make one. Snif.
-
I found them at Meijer in the imported cheese section.
-
It can really be anything you want, but generally, one box per meal. My two snacks for the day are in two tiers of one bento, but my lunch is in a separate bento, so I carry two boxes a day. My breakfast is a smoothie and a yogurt, so not really bento-able.
-
@Narcissora @sagj I totally agree on the bands. I try to take pics before I close everything up, but it's nice to know that other people have smushed bentos too! I kind of felt like a failure.

I don't either, but I found baby brie, baby goat cheese (the Trader Joe's one) and baby Jarlsberg. The brie was spendy, but super tasty.
