  • this sounds like my sons story as well! Colic as a baby, eating problems his entire life, doctors diagnosing with irritable bowel syndrome. Finally diagnosed at 15.
  • bump..gotta make these
  • I am not a doctor nor a nutritionist but i think your caloric intake is set way too low. I hope that you do some research on here and on the web to learn more about a safe way to lose weight. You are young so now is a good time to start living a healthy lifestyle. But also being young and striving to be thin at any cost…
  • Isn't fat ...fat, no matter where it is? Belly fat should be the same fat as thigh fat or even hip fat. Can the garlic really just melt away on area of fat? Doesn't sound rational to me, but if you can explain please do.
  • Thank you for this one!!!!!!
  • Did you actually increase your activity level? If so why worry about being over? And don't look back if your on the right track!
  • that does look better than my many attempts, i will just stick to the bread i get from this great bakery we have in deland florida. They make a delicious millet bread, or oat bran bread, and even an oatmeal bread that is gluten free. My teenage son eats it daily so you know it has to be good!
  • I wish I could find a group like that where you not only have a group but a specific partner. I would love to have someone motivate and challenge me and do the same in return. I have mfp friends and learn from all of them everyday but i think it would be great to be partnered up with someone with similar body types and…
  • This is exactly my aha moment as well. We were out fishing one day and my boyfriend video recorded me catching a fish. he was recording from behind. When i watched the video i was in tears. i couldn't believe this was my rear end. I hide it very well in clothes I guess. When i announced to friends and family that I was…
  • I'm in new smyrna beach florida looking for walking partners as well. (not a mom though) we have this great scenic route over two bridges that overlook the indian river. It's a 4 mile tough walk. Would love to invite others to come along!
  • "eat your exercise calories" "don't eat your exercise calories" "eat half your expercise calories"
  • My opinion is it's a horrible choice. Pack your own lunch. the meat is full of cereals, fillers, artificial colors, and nitrites. I pack a cooler daily of all my foods for the day. if I feel like having a sandwich i would use whole wheat bread and Boar's head meats, cheeses, and fresh toppings. Ask to see the ingredients…
  • I agree you are not eating enough, and your protien is very low.I say eat more lean protien. Search on the message boards about adjusting your protien, fat , and carb percentages and you will get some very useful advice. I personally try to eat 120g of protien per day.
  • i think you should up your protien levels and watch those carbs. If you search how to protien percentages or carb percentages in the search for message boards you will get some very good advice. I did and found i was way under my protien level and had my calories all wrong due to not measuring my foods and not logging…
  • i'm going to convert it to gluten free by simply using gluten free graham crackers.
  • bump...this has been fantastic reading. I can't wait to hear more from you. It now seems to all make sense.I think i have been making this more complicated than it is.
  • I read messages about this so much and I have started looking at their profiles and checking their weights. I have found that heavier people don't have to eat back their ex calories, but those smaller do because they would be going below 1200 calories. i am not saying this is 100 % accurate but if you look into you may…
  • You lost 5 lbs in one month that is great! So in another month that is 10 lbs! You should be thrilled. If you went for bloodwork I bet you would find healthier results, lower blood pressure, and if you are regular with your cardio a much stronger heart. A stronger heart means more endurance which for me means the world. I…
  • bump...me too
  • i feel if i do it 90% i am successful. Don't let the little 10%get you down.
  • i have been living gluten free for over a year because my son is gluten intolerant. I have found it to be very easy and healthier for me. it may be somewhat a challenge for him as he is a teenager. There are so many options out there. I do not eat processed foods anyway and prepare most of my foods from scratch. therefore…
  • well said! It reminds me of when I took my son to the school the other day, he is now a sophomore and was laughing at all the new freshmen coming in and how confused and lost they looked. I said to him last year you were one of those lost freshmen, but now you have learned your way. have some patience and help them out.
  • I am amazed at the negativity in this entire post...I was just telling friends the other day about mfp and what a positive impact it has had on me. There is so much honestly, I am always amazed at the motivation strangers give to one another. I am equally amazed at those who find the strength to put up their beginning…
  • i just made these and omg is all i can say. The texture is really like a pancake! Best of all they are wheat free and healthy too. I am just amazed. Thank you so much for the recipe its going to be my sunday morning treat.
  • i weigh daily which is really an addiction i think!.. i would suggest once per week because your weight will fluctuate even daily, sometimes from morning to night. These fluctuations will drive you crazy. trust me.
  • alter those foods you love and are craving. Make low fat versions of them. If its chocolate you love eat just a few kisses per day. Good luck. You will get so much encouragement here on mfp from others.
  • i weigh myself day, night, midday omg it is ridiculous because all it seems everyone labels themselves as height and especially weight. I agree with you and will hide my scale for a while because it is becoming a beast in my bathroom. Thank you for your post!
