Not sure if you have Hy-Vee grocery stores where you live. They often have them on sale for $1.49 or $1.99!

Not at all! I love my current running shoes and would like to buy another pair for everyday use!

Thanks for sharing!

I've run one 1/2 and a handful of 5ks. I am supposed to be training for my 2nd half in April, but have been struggling since I've been doing it on the treadmill. I might forego this one and run one this fall, instead. Feel free to add me!

I am currently training for my fist 1/2 marathon! We can share tips/frustrations and motivate each other!

I had 1/2 of mine removed 4 1/2 years ago. I gained 20lbs in about 6 weeks. Since then I have struggled to lose the weight. My endocrinologist and my pcp consistently tell me my levels are good and the dose of levothyroxine I take is correct. It wasn't until the last 8-10 months that I've lost any weight and it was all due…

Sounds like my situation. I had 1/2 my thyroid removed in 2008. I gained 15-20 lbs in about 6 weeks. It's taken me a long time to get them off. However, just recently (this year) I must have figured out what works for me because I am losing weight. I've been very dedicated to working out and eating better, but I still feel…

Congrats! Keep up the good work! I'm from Omaha, too! I wanted to do that race, but plans changed....

I ended up getting a lot of push ups in yesterday! Between the push ups I did during 30 DS and at bootcamp, I did 100 - only 10 of them were regular push ups, the rest were on my knees!
-
Just checking in with the group to see how everyone is doing with 30DS...!

I'm in! Love the idea of a mini challenge to add what is already planned for today!

Moving Comfort makes a great sports bra. Lots of support. The one I bought was about $60, but well worth the price since it keeps me locked in place with no bounce!
-
I started today! I will add you so we can motivate each other!

I did not do it, but my husband did. He said you need a lot of upper body strength! I think they have a training plan on their website.

The "bib" is your race number that you pin to your shirt. Some bibs have the chip built into them, other chips are separate and attach to your shoe. This is how they identify you and record your time.

I don't take anything with me - I leave my cell phone, ID and water in the car. I eat something small at home or on the way there - like a banana or a protein bar. Most races offer fruit, granola bars, water, etc at the finish line. Don't forget your ipod! Get there early enough to stretch and use the restroom one final…

Vodka with a Diet Squirt or a Sprite - throw in a lime - is delicious and refreshing. I like to use Grey Goose or Belvedere.

I wear Moving Comfort and it definitely locks me in place! (40D)

I do the same thing! HAHA!

Just last night we had a super yummy pasta dish. We used the Ronzoni brand. Toss asparagus, green and red bell pepper, onion, yellow squash (other veggies of your choice) in olive oil and fresh garlic. We season with Lawry's salt and pepper. Toss that in a grill basket and onto the grill. When the veggies are close to…

Hi! I'm from Omaha. I am fairly new to MFP; have been using it for a couple of weeks. I will be participating in a weight loss challenge at the gym where I take boot camp. So, I am sure I will need lots of encouragement throughout the process!
