  • I have a HRM as well with a chest strap and it fits perfectly. You can also make it bigger, smaller and it doesn't move when I put it on. It's also much more accurate than the HRM that are just on your wrists...
  • I usually make a quick spinach salad w/ feta, tomatos, green or red onion,s ham or turkey and dressing. It's pretty filling and good! Also, as Casper mentions, leftovers are great and easy. Sometimes I make my dinners w/ the next day lunches in mind so I don't really have to anything but put it in a container and heat it…
  • very scary situation. We've encountered several situations like this (but the dogs only attack my puppy :frown: ) One time it was this little old lady walking her dog loose...he bit my dog in his mouth and he actually was bleeding. There was another time where my bf was trying to approach some stray dogs and they ended up…
  • Maybe it doesn't get as crispy as regular bacon because it doesn't have as much fat?? But I agree, it doesn't get crispy, but I like mine chewy :embarassed:
  • You may want to go to a running store where they watch you run and determine what kind of shoes you need based on that. Not every shoe out there is good for everyone. I have been sticking with Asics with the "duroplex??" cushion at the bottom. You probably don't want to get a neutral running shoe. Hope this helps
  • I think that sounds more accurate that you're burning about 700 cals. I run 5 miles at a bout 8.5 minute mile and my HRM says I burn about 500ish calories, which sounds about right. I think that if people are putting 1400 calories they may be overestimating or they may be working out more or maybe they burn more calories…

  • I, too, always eat protein after a work out. (Carbs before workout and protein after). I usually work out in the mornings, so I'd have eggs and turkey bacon or an english muffin w/ PB&J...oh and a lot of milk in the morning, too

  • Agreed, PLUS your weight actually fluctuates throughout the week, so that's probably what happended. One day I'm at a weight the next day up 2 pounds, next day down 3 pounds...it happens. Maybe try just weighing yourself once a week...don't get obsessed over it. Plus, like Marla said, all that's important is what you're…

  • I love rollerblading, but unfortunatly I live in a very hilly area...I tried rollerblading once since I moved here and I was rollerblading at like 90 miles an hour down a hill and I thought I was going to die  It's fun though, I'm just sad I can't do it anymore :grumble:
  • I say it's whatever works for you. It's easier for me to get up in the morning and work out so I get it over anddone with. It's so hard for me to go home after work and stay motivated to work out. Sometimes I do...but I'm not as reliable as I am in the mornings.
  • After reading some recommendings, I ended up getting the Suunto t1c and I LOVE it!! It's very accurate and I can do so many things with it. The reason why I chose against the more popular polar is because I guess once the chest trap battery goes out you have to get a new one  ...something of that nature and I would…
  • Hi guys can I join? I think I will weigh myself on Monday since it's still that TOM for me :grumble: Also, not sure how much :drinker: I drank and am still on the works for that. I think maybe I drank (drunk?? ) :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: so far..
  • Actually I like both. I need one in case I get bored of the other...it happens more often than I'd like to admit :grumble:
  • I like to take my dog for a 2 mile walk or taking him to play in the baseball field
  • I LOVE the cafe steamers. I like the roasted red pepper sauce one  Yummy! Anyways, they fill me up and I enjoy them. I always look at the calories too to make sure they're not over 300 calories or their too full of fat. But so far, they work fine with me.
  • You'll do fine, that should be enough time to drop it. Maybe revamp your eating and your workout to get there :flowerforyou:
  • Thank you, so is yours!!
  • I agree, I eat a big breakfast but I also work out in the mornings and it keeps me full (english muffin w/ one egg and 2 slices of turkey bacon w/ milk) I love cereal, but it doesn't do it for me and I get hungry right away.
  • Yes, we need the secret :glasses:
  • You can do it, just remember what kept you motivated before. I got off the wagon for like a month and it took my like 2 weeks to really get back into the swing of things, but now I'm back  Best of luck to you! :flowerforyou:
  • wow :noway: congrats to you, you look amazing
  • Do you know if they have this on Execise TV on demand??
  • I dont know how sometimes. I just kind of roll out of bed and go with it. I think to myself, if you don't do it now, you might not do it later, so get it over with. PLUS, I know how great it makes me feel, especially throughout the day. Also, I drink a lot of water at night, so when my alarm goes off, I…
  • I know nothing about this, but there are a lot body builder women with breast implants, so maybe it would be ok??
  • I would be careful because I've heard some HRM do overestimate your calories burned...from what I have been told, the Timex watches are infamous for that (you would have to cut their calories like in half). Hope it works out :flowerforyou:
  • Everyone is different and we all have different schedules. I don't have kids or anything, so it's a ton easier for me, so I could def. understand having kids can really make it more difficult to make time to work out. At least you're finding a good time for you and making it for you!! :flowerforyou:
  • And yes, I did get it!:glasses:
  • HILARIOUS!!  but the thing is for me is that I start off early, get my work out done and that's it. I don't have to worry about it later and knowing myself, if I don't work out in the morning, it's VERY hard to motivate myself to work out after work
