Getting around with crutches burns a lot of calories, if you're going any sort of distance! When I dropped a barbell on my big toe and broke it in 2 places, requiring surgery, I wore the rubber off of my crutches. I don't remember gaining any weight during that time although admittedly this has been almost 13 years ago.

lots of protein in a can stuff at the the store that is high in protein but low in calories. I don't always trust what they tell you that you can subtract for exercise. For example I ride my bike and it says if I'm going 14-16 mph it burns something like 890 calories an hour. Well, that really isn't that hard of an average to maintain and I don't feel like I am really burning those sort of calories riding a 15…

Athletic tape can help with this. I haven't done a clean since I quit playing football, but that always helped me back in the day. I taped my wrists for cleans and bench press.

eat PB&J and drink chocolate milk. If you make it on that extra size orowheat bread, that's about 800-900 calories right there between the sandwich and the milk.
