Broken toes

Help.......Fell down the stairs at my flat on Thursday morning and broke three toes and sprained my ankle really badly. Went to the hospital and have been given crutches, so bang goes my training, BUT, I have managed to do a lot of reading and knitting, AND, my fingers are getting lots of exercise using the remote..........

Should be up and about in approx 2 weeks - hope so as I hate being so immobile.

    Getting around with crutches burns a lot of calories, if you're going any sort of distance! When I dropped a barbell on my big toe and broke it in 2 places, requiring surgery, I wore the rubber off of my crutches. I don't remember gaining any weight during that time although admittedly this has been almost 13 years ago.
