One of my brothers lived on potato waffles, chips and roast potatoes for almost 20 years. Now he's 25 and he lives on chicken nuggets, chicken burgers, chicken dippers and cheese and tomato pizza. My mum tried refusing to allow him the things he'd eat. He simply didn't eat and made himself seriously ill. She tried…

Depends what time I get up and go to bed lol. Generally 3 or 4 meals a day though.

This is something I'd do. If it looks, feels, smells and tastes okay then I eat it. My hubby on the other hand...well if it's out of date then he'd throw it in the bin.

I ate 21 year old honey and I'm still here. I didn't know it was that old until AFTER I'd eaten it but it tasted fine. The honey I have in now has been in for about 2 years and there's nothing wrong with it.

You need to eat more than 800 calories a day. Otherwise as soon as you start eating normally again you'll just pile the weight back on. 1200 is the minimum recommended for a female and a lot find that too low.
-
I usually try to estimate but I wouldn't worry too much about it. One day isn't going to hurt, especially not if you stuck to healthier choices.

You MADE things in food tech? At my school we bought a chocolate log at Christmas and decorated it. We didn't cook anything ever. And all the teacher did was threaten to throw us out of windows and accuse us of being racist so we didn't learn anything either.

Making healthy options cheaper might help but I doubt it. I didn't find it any more expensive to buy healthy foods than unhealthy, if anything it worked out cheaper because I didn't have all the rubbish in my basket. Organic is another matter, I can't afford that lol. Cooking from scratch is so much more time consuming…

[quote 1. why waste the money? alcohol costs a lot of money! I laugh when people complain about being broke yet go to the bar everynight...gee wonder where all your money goes! [/quote] Apparently I'm a heartless b*tch because I refused to give a friend the money for food when she had £50 in her purse. She couldn't spend…

I drink now and then but just one or two drinks of something I like the taste of. I've never needed to have a drink to have fun and don't understand this binge drinking culture that seems to have sprung up around me. Why do people spend a fortune on alcohol only to throw it up and then feel like death warmed up the next…

I'm epileptic and I'm here to lose the 80lbs I piled on when I made the biggest mistake of my life so far and agreed to go on medication for it.

1600 before exercise. Some days I struggle to hit the 1200 net minimum though. I eat back exercise calories if I'm hungry but if I'm not hungry I don't.
-
Haha, I've done this one.

Sod giving a dog a bath, I want to know how many calories you burn wrestling a decaying, maggotty hedgehog away from an 80lb dog lol. Or preventing an 80lb dog from beating a yappy little dog to death with his muzzle. Believe me, that's a dance and a half! I personally wouldn't log bathing the dog but then my dogs not…

You have to make yourself drink it. I had a similar problem when I started coming here and found I had to really make an effort to make myself drink. Set an alarm to remind you if necessary or make yourself have a drink every time you have to get up or something. You do get into the habit of drinking more after a while, I…

Sadly the weight doesn't come off as quickly as it seemed to go on =( 8lbs in 3 weeks is great, I usually lose a pound a week if I'm lucky!
-
I'd just chalk it up as a special occasion and not worry about it to be honest. I'd stick to my regular eating habits for the rest of the day and do my normal exercise.

I used to have a cheat evening once a week when I did weight watchers. It was immediately after weigh in and I'd go home and eat something I really enjoy but that usually won't fit in my day. However, I found that the longer I mostly ate healthy the less I wanted things like pizza, chips/fries, Mcdonalds etc so my cheat…

Dark chocolate mints work for me. I've found if I'm craving something sweet after a meal one of those is enough to stop it. Eat more. 1200 calories is probably not enough if you're working out like crazy. It's not recomended to go below the 1200 a day.
-
I try to find something similar on here and use that info instead. I used to avoid buying anything if there were no nutritional info but it's impossible here as a lot of things don't have it on.

I've mostly given up with doctors to be honest with you. It's so difficult to find one who'll actually listen to you and try to work out how to solve a problem you're having. Most seem to just prescribe antibiotics for everything and rush you out the door! And when you do find a good one you have to be able to predict when…

I weigh in weekly. It used to be every 3 weeks (weighed in at weight watchers and working shifts meant I could only go every 3 weeks) but I found I'd only really stick to it for that week before weigh in. I think it's whatever works for you really. I can handle only seeing half a pound lost or a stay the same but other…

To me, everything in moderation means it's okay to have the occasional not so healthy meal or snack. I don't want a life without my favourite foods. If I want to treat myself to a piece of cake or a couple of slices of pizza or even that disgustingly greasy full english breakfast the cafe near work serves then I will do so…

4lbs in a couple of days is probably normal fluctuation due to water, time of month or whatever. As others have said, watch your sodium. Also, make sure that when you weigh yourself you wear exactly the same clothes or do it naked and that the scales are in the spot.
-
I weigh myself first thing in the morning once a week. I don't do it naked but I make sure to wear exactly the same clothes each time so that doesn't affect whether or not I've lost. I also use the same scales each time and always in the same place coz every scale is different and I've found that even the same one can vary…

28 here, 5ft3ish (seems to be anywhere between 5ft2 and 5ft4 when I'm measured) currently 216lbs and my goal is 130lbs. I weighed 140lbs a few years ago and was happy with that but could have stood to lose a little more. I think anything less than 130 would be too thin for me but I'll see when I get there.

I cross stitch while watching tv. Can't eat and stitch at the same time and watching tv or a movie is when I'm really likely to snack. My almost finished Tatty Teddy. Just needs the backstitching doing but I keep putting it off coz the designs are a nightmare to backstitch My latest work in progress is 3 Labrador puppies…

I keep wishing I could drive so I could take the dog there for a good walk. I'm about a 15 minute drive from the castle, their scones are awesome!

I go with the 1 litre is 4 cups too. I think it works out at just over 4 cups but I can live with that lol.

Add it to your tracker twice. Or change the number of servings to 2. Either one works for me. Or do you mean add a food to the list of foods already on here?
