I tried to go for a run this morning but my body was like nope. I haven't been sleeping well. I am blaming hormones. I got my implant replaced today so hopefully, it all goes back to "normal". I was going to run after work but my arm is hurting and I have to keep the bandage on until the end of the day.

We try to avoid the crowds at US tourist spots too. So we get it. 3 miles today. It was 66 this morning and it felt cool. I was like oh is it time to switch to t-shirts and capris? Then after about a mile I was sweating and going nope. Still warm here. LOL 48 ish miles so far.

I've tried to do the blood before the appointment before and it got all messed up and they didn't do the right tests. I had to go back for blood on another day. @quilteryoyo I'm about to find a new doctor. I like mt doctor but the hour + drive and scheduling being so difficult makes it hard.

So I had to cancel my PCP appointment a month or so ago. I woke up feeling incredibly nauseous and didn't want to deal with a drive and doctor that day. The scheduling people called a week later & said they set a new appointment for me (without my input). Finally got the info it was December and 2 pm. Nope, because I can't…

@quilteryoyo all the positive vibes are headed your way 🖤

I have my garmin connected but I suppose I could manually enter after the fact.

@Avidkeo I don't always feel wise. Lol I don't remember the 3rd. My memory is awful 🤣 Ok, I looked. I did all my races on the 4th. I did a trail that has all the ups at the start/end (out & back). I averaged 13ish per mile despite basically hiking the inclines. If I remember it was my best effort on that trail.

10 miles on the trail this morning. My legs were tired and it was a struggle. I used the competitive track for several reasons and the long loop and technical loop share the start and end. I was kicking and tripping on many rocks today because I just couldn't get my legs to work right. My legs are so tired now. I mentioned…

Health care: There's a local restaurant owner (a very popular restaurant - Biden/Harris even stopped there this week) and she had to choose between keeping her health insurance or her restaurant. She has a long term condition, sarcoidosis (I have never heard of this). She chose her restaurant. We should not have to choose…

@quilteryoyo No, not yet. I have been playing around with it and googling to see if I was missing something before I did so. I will probably just switch my Tues/Wed and have Hal be disappointed in me :D
-
I'm a bit frustrated with Hal right now. 1) He puts 7.5 mile and 8 mile runs on weekdays. There is no way I can fit those in. There's no way to adjust that in the settings. 2) He won't let me swap out days. I need to switch Tues/Wed next week because work. But there is no way to do that. I can put a blackout date on…

@shanaber How weird about the data. I thought I had gone back several years to look at my calorie amount I was eating at when I lost weight. That was earlier this year so must have been recent they dumped it. I went back to like 2015. I need to get serious about weight loss too. I'd like to lose 30 total. Right now I'm…

@rheddmobile Every plant in Phoenix has thorns. I try to avoid any branches for that reason. Sometimes I don't see it and have to pull a branch out of my shoe. Seriously, the desert knows how to defend itself LOL I always wanted fruit trees in my yard but if you don't pick the fruit in time it rots and attracts roof rats.…

Shoes. Your best bet is to go to a running store and have a gait analysis done. They will recommend shoes for you. And a lot will allow you to return within X days if they don't work. My first fitted pair I had to return. They insisted I needed to go up a whole size & just adjust lacing. It didn't work for me. I can only…

I'm at 18.4 miles for October so far. Don't think I've posted an update. I've got 25.49 for the Javelina Jallucinations (started 9/28, ends 11/1) out of 100
-
This is my first thought as well. Like if I sit on my R ankle my leg will ache a bit when I first get up and take steps and then it's ok. But always best to check with the doc.

Love the hair @Avidkeo. I think all men prefer long hair. Weight keeps going up. I know what to do. I just can't keep myself doing it. I've logged the last few days. Baby steps.
-
I did good yesterday. Logged and weighed all my food and even had some calories left at the end of the night.

Broken leg. It was fairly easy to come back from after cast was off. I had to get used to walking again for a few weeks (2 crutches to 1 then none). I started with 30 minutes of walk 4:30 then run :30. Increased the running by 30 seconds each week until I could run the full 5 minutes. Hardest part was getting the range of…

Sounds like a lovely stay @Avidkeo

4.5 miles this morning. I couldn't get out yesterday morning so Hal has downgraded me to a C+. Tomorrow was supposed to be a rest day but I'll take the dog out for a few easy miles. I need at least 2.25 to get my 20 miles for the week/Javelina Jallucinations. Figure I'll do 5k and call it a day. Sunday is a 10k virtual…

I do use the premier protein. I prefer the caramel. Only had that & chocolate which wasn't bad. I had hoped for a stronger chocolate flavor. Sometimes I use it as coffee creamer. Usually I drink it. Has to be cold. Ugh, I'm feeling very fat and gross. I keep eating everything. Yay hormones. So today. My goal is to log…

I've been using the Run with Hal app. He wants me to do 7 miles today. HAHAHAHa I don't have time for 7 miles on a weekday. He will have to settle for whatever I can get in after work & before dinner. Maybe if I was a faster runner I could do 7 miles on a weekday but I max out on time at about 5 miles. I've looked through…

@katharmonic I've never had one that is only one color. They usually have 2-3 colors.

4 miles at half marathon pace. I always hate these runs because I like to ease into my pace. Mile 1 was hard, went a little too fast in mile 2, so backed off in mile 3 and then had fastest mile for 4. Hal said I should do this in 44 minutes, I came in just under at 43:45 (I had to round up to 4.05 because my workout…

With Javelina Jallucinations I will be aiming for 100 miles from 9/28 to 11/1. So I guess a few less than 100 for October.
-
I noticed the colors and looked at them but haven't really paid close attention. I think it may he based off your average pace?
-
@hanlosk true, most people I see at like 5 am are also running or walking. I've also found around dusk to have some unsavory characters. The ones that watch a little too long or try to follow. Mostly I see teenagers trying to hide the weed 🤣
-
@Camaramandy648 The base is 100 miles in October but there was another option (Jero's Journey I think?) that you could pick higher mileage. One was 500. 500.
-
@Camaramandy648 I'm surprised you only signed up for the 100. LOL RE: Women attacked on run. Statistically, you are more likely to be attacked by someone you know than a stranger. Yes, it does happen but not as often as you'd think by watching the news. Most predators will target people that are unlikely to be missed.…
