We give Shadow a daily probiotic. Her vet recommended them. Pits/Staffys tend to have sensitive stomachs. Her poop has been so much better since starting them (and we stopped giving her yak chews which are supposedly better for dogs but caused issues for her). I'd check with the vet before starting a probiotoc though if…

I think we are supposed to be 90s this weekend too. This week has been perfect!

Yes, doggo needs walking and my house needs cleaning lol I much prefer running to cleaning! I may actually finish my small cross stitch I started a few months ago. And I'm making gf soft pretzels for the first time.

Been lurking and liking. New coach has me resting this week and next. As of yesterday no more muscle soreness. And I'm bored. What do people do on weekends when they aren't running/training for a marathon?

We did a wisdom panel on Shadow. It wasn't that expensive and was pretty easy. Way easier than our human dna test!

We taught Shadow leave it. It works 95% of the the time. She really wants to eat plants that can cause issues in dogs. We also taught her left, right, straight, cross. Very helpful on the trail. I also will sometimes do sit, wait, ok cross so when we cross busier intersections I can get her to wait and make sure no cars…

I am not as picky about my shoe color. It really depends. My favorite pair of ravenna was a pink to purple pair. But I love my black/white/green On Clouds. And I have a weird obsession with Brooks tie dye and Murica shoes. And Christmas shoes. Which I only wear from Black Friday to 12/31. LOL

Don't get a pit if you like personal space.

Thank you everyone! It was the last 10k that got hard. I wanted to give up at mile 23 but I was like no, you're so freaking close! I think I had more in me. I pushed the last 1.2 miles to try to come in under 6 hours. I ran pretty conservatively and only walked a total of 3 miles. My hips tightened up around mile 20 & I…

I took whatever vaccine was available when I became eligible. Celiac disease isn't included in autoimmune issues for the shot because 1) if you are gf, you aren't considered compromised and 2) covid doesn't appear to be worse in those with celiac disease. Asthma is still one of those that I think should be covered. I was…

I think Purina Pro Plan is what we get Shadow. I'm not eligible for a booster yet. I had Pfizer. I heard J&J was requesting or looking at a booster. I can't recall exactly what I read.

Well, I finished my marathon today. No real race report lol I started a few minutes after 5 since I woke up at 4. My DH and dog met me at about the half way point at a nature area to swap bottles of skratch. I walked with them for a bit. I was feeling really great until mile 20. The last 10k was definitely more mental. I…

@shanaber I didn't know the flu shot was a higher dose for over 65. I hope you feel better quickly!

The 50k I registered for was $115 plus fees before the firat price hike. I would guess a lot of that is for the county park permit since they start set up days before and the race covers 2 days and almost every trail in the park. They also have their own medical service on site to call instead of 911. You can not order the…

Swag Yes to women's cuts. No to all the pink. Most races I have done offer the same shirt in unisex or women. So same color. Never had a choice. Always prefer black, gray, or blue. Trail races and more road now have the choice of no shirt. It really doesn't save that much, especially for road since most of what you're…

I tried to use an online service that my insurance works with. It was awful. I just need to make an appointment. I forgot to mention it at my annual check-up (DH rolled his eyes at that one lol).

@swenson19d add or more commonly called adhd now.
-
That does seem odd. Our county shelter is always looking for people to volunteer. Even the non-county, not for profit rescues always seem to need volunteers

I've been doing some research and I'm 99.9% sure I have add (the inattentive type). I scored high on the official test. It explains A LOT. I also had a lot of the standard issues for girls as a child. Now I need to have a doctor do the test.

5 miles this morning. Yesterday & today I'm pretty sure I side stepped a potato on the sidewalk. Yesterday I thought it was a rock until right on top of it. Then I forgot about it and again thought it was a rock. 30/48.2 + ??

Scale went back up. I am about to chuck it 🤣

I haven't checked in for a few days. I've been running. Did 5 this morning. 25/ 48.2 for 10/1-10/10 I hired a running coach to start on 10/25. She said she'd give me 2 weeks off after a marathon so I'll do some walking and yoga. Maybe hop on the bike & easy hikes those 2 weeks. Then back at it. I officially signed up for a…

Opened October with 6 miles. Another cooler morning and my pace for the last 3 miles definitely reflected that. Summer can stay away! But there will probably be at least one more streak of 100 degree days. Happens every year. 6/???

5 miles to end the month. 162/174 (so close!)

I believe Mayo has a late policy. One time there was an accident and traffic wasn't moving and I couldn't even get over to get off freeway.. I called and reception toold me the doctor "may" see me when I get there. He did. His nurse said they understand traffic can happen. And I will say it should work both ways and I get…

I first read your goal as 11 miles and I was like she will do more than 11. Then I looked again and saw 111 🤣
-
6 miles today. It was one of those runs that I just did not want to do but I slogged through. 157/174
-
I swear if you can make it through a move, your marriage can survive anything 🤣

I hugged reacted but I also 🤣 reacted

Not setting a monthly mileage goal yet. Biggest goal is 26.2 on 10/10.
