Thought I had 5 miles today. Was happy it was only 4. 24/125

I recently read that fireworks often make squirrel mamas abandoned their babies. It's all so sad. I don't get the allure of setting off the *kitten* my neighbors all enjoy and scaring animals. Our dog isn't bothered too much by the sky booms. Sometimes she will bark at them but that's about it. Our sweet rottie that passed…

Woke up this morning to 80° and 80% humidity. 10 gross miles done.
-
@Avidkeo OMG about the man that fell..wow.
-
First weekend of the month means I had weigh in + measurements. Lost 1 pound and half an inch from bust, waist, and hips!
-
@ContraryMaryMary I've definitely looped back home for 💩 before.
-
@Avidkeo Hugs to you. Reach out if you need someone to vent/talk/rant to. @quilteryoyo I want some kind of wood laminate but can't decide on wood/color. There are so many variations!

Apparently in Florida (I think mostly the keys or way south) a lot of cars end up in like little inlets. There's a lot of talk that people dump their cars there after hurricanes and then claim it on insurance that they washed away. Our house is 12 years old and needs some work done. I have just been feeling very indecisive…

5 miles this morning to start July AND hit 500, halfway to my yearly goal mileage!
-
91.65 miles for June. I found my goals for June. A goal was 100 miles and B goal was 85 so I was kind of in between. 495.1 miles for the year.

@shanaber The PT had me doing rows, lat pull downs, stretches. They also gave me some other exercises I don't know if they have names 🤣 And I use super light dumbbells (5 & 8 pound) and bands (5 & 10) to have some resistance but not enough to aggravate it. I could probably go a tad heavier
-
If I did my math right (🤣🤣🤣) my goal is 125 miles.

Glad to see you @ddmom0811! I totally understand having to drop something. We all have to do it at some points. I barely remember last week let alone since April 🤣 Basically, run, work, watch sports, sleep repeat lol Let's see, I did go to pt for frozen shoulder in March/April. It's almost thawed so now just at home. I'm…

I don't remember my goals. I'm at 87 today and have 4 scheduled for tomorrow. I'll end June with 495 miles for the year. 5 miles short of where I had hoped to be. Oh well.
-
Oh yes, that does sound familiar now that you say it. Glad to hear for her but still sad for those that were involved
-
Has anyone heard from @ddmom0811? The recent condo collapse had me thinking about her. I don't know where her condo was but hope all is well.

I read somewhere that way more people would die if it weren't for all the safety things that are in cars now. We don't think about it now but cars in the 20s and 30s were basically death traps and they couldn't even go very fast! I was listening to a podcast yesterday and they were discussing the issue with calling new…

Dealing with insurance is terrible. DH was hit a couple years back and the other insurance didn't want to pay for anything. We got everything covered but it took months. @avidkeo Interesting way to think of cravings. I find sometimes they'll get real intense but if I chew gum or go for a walk they'll subside. I can't do…

OMG @rheddmobile! I'm glad you and your husband are ok. Ugh, that sucks. Why can't people pay attention and follow traffic laws?!?

Hyperice is one of those massage guns. When I was testing it shadow checked it out and I used it on her hind quarters. Now she barks everytime I turn it on and won't stop until she gets massaged.
-
I did Ancestry. No surprises. I have debated uploading to GEDmatch to help solve crimes but haven't yet because it's pretty much open for anyone once it goes to GEDmatch. Still here. Mostly trying. Started strength training slowly. Ordered a hyperice on prime day.

@skippygirlsmom My BIL works for ESPN. He presses the buttons LOL (his words, not mine). It sounds like a great company to work for.

Friends leaving people on r2r hikes is not unusual. I've heard so many stories. It's still a *kitten* thing to do though.

Sadly, most men won't get it. The thing is women are raised to be kind and polite to everyone. We are raised to obey our elders etc. It's what's expected of girls and women in patriarchal society. To be docile. To be agreeable. To be there for men to look at, have, possess. To quote my favorite murder, *kitten* politeness.…

@rheddmobile Happy Birthday! Sounds like your DH did ok on the stress test. Will keep sending positive vibes @shanaber Hope the arm is feeling better soon! @Avidkeo Oh, what a creepy old man! I hope you get better parking soon. I have had the smart pop white cheddar. I've been grabbing whatever brand is on sale. I think…

The popcorn was ok. Like, I'll finish what I bought but will not buy again. It was slightly sweet, like kettle corn, but really oily. I'll stick with the pre-popped white cheddar that I've been into lately.
-
Also, why do they make the calculations for calories in full popcorn bags so difficult? It's like doing rocket science over here! (And why I usually buy the 100 cal packs but I wanted to try the llama cotton candy popcorn. Yes, I'm a child. 🤣)
-
I'm still here! Just reading through posts. Not much to add. It's hot out.

Skimmed everything I missed on vacation. Scams: the whole basis is built on urgency to not give you time to think. Hence why most are aimed at older folks, like the call that your grandkid is in jail in another country and needs bail now! They don't want the person to call or actually look into it. Or the you'll be…

Sorry all! I was on vacation with little to no internet access. Loved it! LOL @shanaber The big fire is east of Phoenix. We went to the White Mountains this week and usually there's two main ways to go. We couldn't go one way because it was closed due to the fire. Then when we got home we found out a few hours after we…
