I never thought I'd like a bouncing head lamp but honestly I don't even notice it.

I swear I posted last night but I must have hit done instead of post. 🤦🏼♀️ I am not going to pick a mileage goal this month. Instead I'm going to focus on my challenges and virtual races. 1. Every Damn Trail (9/1 to 12/31) 2. Maybe also do Every Damn Street in my HOA or zip code (9/1 to 12/31) 3. Womxn Run the Vote (9/21…

@ddmom0811 I saw the taco bell one but it may have been a follow up because the headline said someone (school?) got them a hot spot. But to threaten to take the kids for that? Ugh, that is awful. All our systems are messed up. Not being able to afford internet isn't abuse. I think many people assume everyone has wifi. I…

2.1 miles this morning. Planned on 3 but neither the dog or I really felt it. Shadow did a slow .75 or so with a break at the park to sniff around and eat grass. Dropped her off and planned to do the rest but just wasn't feeling it. I think that means I close out August at around 46 miles. Planned was 80. 🤣 I had high…

That doesn't sound like a fun start to a half marathon.

I'm in for... something

@shanaber maybe Hobbes Shadow are somehow related lol She normally is good while we are eating but today at lunch I was apparently eating my pho too slowly for her. Then we got starbucks (free bday drink) this afternoon and she had a pupachino. I think she thought I had the same and was barking at me to finish. I said next…

I went to take Shadow out this morning and there was a chihuahua that kept running at us. It would retreat when I yelled but if I tried to start walking it would run over again. We never left the driveway. Turned around and went back inside. I'm not going to have a repeat of a few months back of her getting attacked by…

Online forums and social media make it much easier for introverts to interact. In person drains me so much more than online. Introverts need to recharge alone usually. Extroverts get energy from being around others.

We call horse poop trail snacks cuz Shadow always tries to eat it 🤣 She also wants to roll in all poop when we run/hike. 🙄 She will eat anything but loves pb and watermelon the most. She whines when we have those out. Oh, and if we don't eat our food fast enough or take a break she will bark at us. It's weird.

I went out for 4 miles today. 38/80 (hah!) As he was a Pastor, I am thinking this is his way of saying goodbye. Letting his light shine through the darkness.

It's always hard to process why some people pass and others don't. Someone with the same health history may live until 100 while another passes early. I had a lot of similar thoughts when my dad died. He was healthy, went to doctor annually and was active. It's one of those things I guess we will never know why. I've hit…

I keep thinking he will pop in amd post. It's just surreal not seeing posts from him after all these years. Sunday will be hard. No Sunday Boston update. 😔

@rheddmobile I am sorry about your dishwasher and glad you weren't injured! Scary! I will recommend a Bosch. They are a bit more expensive but work really well. I also love the 3rd shelf for silverware and other small items. Getting rid of the basket gives more room in the bottom rack. Yes, I keep thinking I'll see a post…

I just saw your FB group post. I am in shock.

So when I weighed in on Thursday I was up 2.2 pounds. I figured it was water retention and overeating a bit with less exercise. I put on a pair of shorts yesterday. OMG. It was so uncomfortable! Like they fit but were tighter than I'd like. *sigh* I realized yesterday afternoon my kitchen scale was acting weird. I weighed…

4 miles today. It was fairly nice (88 and low humidity). Air looks awful. It was a little hard to start after taking the last 2 days off because it's been so hot. I threatened to sell the guest room bed and buy a treadmill and make the guestroom into a gym. DH ask what I'd do woth the bike we just bought. Duh, put it in…

@ddmom0811 I just started one. There's only 2 episodes so far. So, I got the mail today and Geico sent junk mail to my dad. Who has been dead for almost 2 years. And never lived here. Which reminded me he's not here for my 40th bday next weekend. Needless to say I had a good cry and now want ice cream (good there's none in…

I didn't feel like running out side today so I am cleaning my house instead 🙃

@shanaber Phoenix is breaking record highs right and left. And June is usually are humidity month and much dryer in July & August. Weather is definitely different this summer 😵
-
I'm already dreading running this weekend. Low of 88 with 50% humidity. Still at least another month or two to go 😭😭😭

4 miles this morning. Finally out after a weird week. 30.8/80 Thinking that 80 is going to be hard to hit 🤷🏼♀️ It was 85 out and DH was like it should be nice. Yes, if it wasn't 60% humidity. Not sure which I dislike more today or 90 and 10% humidity. It all feels gross.

@eleanorhawkins I love having a bike. It's a nice compliment to running.

@camaramandy648 This is why I don't have abs 🤣 @skippysgirlmom No, but we haven't checked the mail in a few days. I'd be surprised since I haven't received any shipping notice. I emailed last week that the team was complete but didn't get a reply. Not sure if that's normal, never done a group like this before 🤷🏼♀️

People. I am almost done with The Brave Athlete and I cannot recommend it enough. I feel so called out on my *kitten*. 🤣 I think I'll do an episode of my podcast and talk about it more in depth. But if you were to purchase the book I would say get a physical copy. There's a lot of illustrations and exercises that make…

@Avidkeo I think it's just hard to make friends as an adult. With or without kids. Like I have 2 friends and never see them because of how far apart we live (within the Phoenix area) and how busy we all are. And only 1 of us 3 has a kid. 🤷🏼♀️

All of this. I think I got my roller on Amazon. I wasn't coordinated enough to use a swiss ball or dumbbell. I'd also throw in planks and the many variations. Lift heavy and clean up diet. They aren't kidding when they say abs are made in the kitchen.

I'm tired of record breaking heat and fires. Our electric company has asked us to reduce power usage tonight because a fire took out a big power line & we could get roving blackouts if we don't ease up on power.
-
@Avidkeo I wrote that one down but I'm not sure I'm qualified to really dig into it. I've only really had the broken leg and a few years ago I had vocal chord dysfunction which made me dizzy while running. I'll have to think about how I can work that topic.
