  • I don't eat dairy. I like Cococnut Bliss ice cream. I use Earth Balance Buttery spread (it tastes and acts way more like butter than margarines do). I use almond milk instead of milk (it's delicious). I either have pizza cheese-less or with Daiya cheese - hint - less is more with Daiya - too much and it's too noticeable as…
  • I'm a new vegetarian. Any of you can add me (just send a note with the request please). My friends can see my diary.
  • I haven't read all of the responses, but I lost a bit more than 30 pounds and my girls looked a little deflated for a while, but they totally bounced back within about a year, and I'm looking pretty firm everywhere now. Your skin needs time to adjust. And wow, your Mom...that's horrible. I got mad at my mom for poking my…
  • My friend follows Freelee (and DurianRider is Freelee's partner). My friend is also pretty much following that diet. I don't agree with it because I think it lacks vital nutrients, and is not very balanced. Freelee is not a nutritionist or anything. The thing that concerns me is my friend is feeding her growing child this…
  • I usually just say I'm trying to eat less meat, but am not a vegetarian.
  • I haven't read all the responses but thought I would share my experience. I lost about 40 pounds, and my boobs only went down about one cup size, but they seriously deflated at the top. They went from very full to only full at the bottom and got saggy. I've been about the same weight for almost a year now, and they have…
  • I really want kids, and assumed I would have them by now (I'm 34), but I have not yet met Mr. Right. I was terrible at picking 'em when I was younger. And, I won't settle just because my biological clock is ticking, so I realize it may not happen in time now. But yah...it seems all of my friends are either getting married…
  • I haven't done it on the fridge, mostly because I have a roommate! I would suggest maybe also putting a pic of you at your heaviest. I have a goal photo up on my mirror in my bedroom though and I find that it does help motivate me.
  • I did Eagle Bluffs a few weekends ago and the ravens at the viewpoint put on quite a show. I got some great pictures of them and watched them steal someone's lunch! That hike never disappoints!
  • Haha my friend just told me about the expression "the fear". My other friend and I always call it "day-after regret." To wind down, I usually read or watch Netflix in bed with a heating pad on my lower back. This is mostly because I have a bad back and this helps keep the muscles from getting too tight, but also because…
  • Thank you so much! I've done quite a bit of growing up the last few years and I'm really analyzing the choices I make and habits I have. I appreciate the encouraging words!
  • I have recently been "re-evaluating my relationship" with alcohol as well. I don't drink a lot; sometimes I will go a couple of weeks without a single drink. And I can do the glass of wine or a beer here and there. BUT - if I get together with a group of friends at the pub or a BBQ and people are drinking I usually end up…
  • I started the process at about 29/30. Just small steps at first which is why I'm still working on it at 34, but I'm in much better shape now than I was then!
  • Have you had your back X-rayed? I finally did (after years of pain) and discovered I have disc degeneration between a few of the vertebrae in my lowerb ack, as well as bone spurs and mild scoliosis. I took up running a couple of years ago, and then put my back out really badly (which is when I had the X-ray done). Right…
  • Making pop a rare treat rather than a regular thing (same with juice, iced tea etc) and drinking lots of water. Regular yoga.
  • Wow! Thanks for sharing - very inspiring.
  • Have you taken measurements? You could have put on muscle which would explain not losing any weight, but you may have lost inches in places you can't really tell with your clothes, like your arms, calves, the smallest part of your waist, etc. And before anyone else says it, are you sure you are logging really accurately,…
  • I'm allergic to dairy. I was allergic as a kid and then wasn't, and then it came back, so I had many years of eating dairy and then had to give it up again. I can handle small amounts in things like cookies and chocolate, but nothing much. I use Daiya to make home-made pizzas but I don't love the taste and I find it sticks…
  • Wow - you should be very proud of yourself! I'm sorry you had to go through so much of a struggle.
  • Coke/Pepsi from a can or bottle. It's way too sweet. i can still drink it if it is from the fountain because it's watered down and not nearly as syrupy sweet. For some reason I can still handle root beer from a can though!
  • One thing to keep in mind is that even if you have more than one, there is no guarantee that the siblings will be close. I have friends who do not get along with their siblings at all. My mom was close with her brother growing up but now he is estranged from the family (for 35 years) and my mom has to do all the…
  • I was on Marvelon for years with no effects at all.
  • I also recommend doyogawithme.com and I'm currently doing DDP Yoga which I quite like - but it's not like "regular" yoga.
  • I know a lot of people in my yoga class who just layer two mats, so you could just buy another cheap one and do that. Sometimes I fold the side of my mat under my knee if it is bothering me. Edited for typo.
  • I don't use the nutrition plan either. I know what you mean about the pics!

  • I just joined and just recently started DDP Yoga. I am not following the program he laid out but am doing it regularly and I did take all my before photos.
  • I just started recently as well. So far I've done the Diamond Dozen twice, Energy twice, Fatblaster once and Red Hot Core once. I really like it! I have done yoga for quite some time, so some parts are pretty easy for me, but some part are hard and I'm doing the modified moves, so I'm definately getting a good workout. My…
  • ^I second this. I don't like loud screamy thrashy music where you can't even understand what they are saying most of the time. Other than that I like a little something from most genres although I like some way more than others. Not a huge fan of rap, although there is the odd artist or song I do like.
  • Haha nice! I'm working on building up a decent booty! Rock it!
  • You look great, and that's a beautiful dress. Well done!
