Commiserating with all of you that had to make that decision. I had to put my 6 year old English Bulldog down almost 2 years ago now. I also handled all the details and suffered most of the grief, but it was well earned because I was her person. I swore I'd never have another dog because I didn't want to go through that…

I'm 52, and I've only been back on track since the end of March. I was coming in between 1000 and 1200. The weight was coming off too fast and I was a bit tired, so I'm trying to get 1400 calories per day. Some days I eat under, but I'm watching my carbs, too. If I didn't have occasional over days to even that out, I would…

Great news, Nonnie!! What a relief for you and your family! AF = 1 A = 0

I like what Ann said. Make one positive change. It doesn't have to be a big change. Build your confidence one day at a time. You can do this!
-
My goal, based on your challenge, is to get out of bed with a positive thought each morning. I've become so negative. I don't like it, and I need to change it no matter what is going on in my life. So...a positive thought to start each day!

@rileysowner I am lucky that I have an unconventional doctor. She wholeheartedly believes in Keto. She also has the best vitamin recommendations for high cholesterol and kidney function before she resorts to big pharma. I love that about her!

Lots of people don't weigh. They measure. Very different outcomes. Go with what's on the box. Is it different on the box?
-
Either one should be the same calories and macros. Good job weighing it, though. I think that's a key to accurate logging.

Good morning. I'm 52 and on this journey again because I seem to lose my way often. I've yoyo'd from 140 - 215 for years and years. I'm at 193 today down from 215 on March 29 when I put my foot down once again. I cut out unhealthy carbs and my nightly wine (still have a few glasses on the weekend but I was an every…

@SunnyDays930 I'm so sorry they put you through that. That must be so hard.

Focus on simple proteins (chicken, sirloin, salmon) with a bit of healthy fat (olive oil, avocado, real butter in moderation) and add in complex carbs like green veggies (broccoli, zucchini, spinach). Leave anything white alone (sugar, white bread, rice, white potatoes, etc). One of our favorite simple meals is chicken…

I'm in for LA. I guess I'm not ready for abstinence just yet. I will stay on my April trend of not drinking at home, though.
-
Awesome stats!! Can't believe a "diet" that's so unhealthy can make you so healthy (tongue in cheek). Congrats!!
-
I have not been to Deadwood, but it's definitely on the bucket list! I enjoyed Tombstone so much more than I thought I would!
-
@SunnyDays930 I am so sorry. It is the worst, but you are doing the right thing for your baby. Doesn't make it easier, though. Ending this month with a win. I don't expect to do better next month with 3 scheduled short cruises, but this month has helped me slow down and realize I do not need to make sure I have enough wine…

AF = 20 A = 9 Right there with you, bowhunter. Casino got me again last night, BUT, I only had 2 small glasses at dinner and 1 very small one out on the floor, so less than a bottle. That's good for me...lol. NOW, I'm going to finish out the month.

Definitely go to Arizona and see Tombstone!! Take a few tours. There are many ghost tours. See the reenactment. Eat at Big Nose Kate's. So fun! We stayed in a suite on the block right off the main road and visited all the saloons at night then walked to bed. It was the best time and we want to go back! Edited to add this…

@NonnieDoiron Thinking of you and your MIL. I don't know you, but I wish I could hug you both @Womona Excellent self control! @lmlmrn Have a wonderful trip! I'm disappointed in myself for caving on some nights, but really proud at the same time. I haven't had this little to drink in a month's span in well over 10 years.…

@nonniedoiron That is so stressful and just wanted to throw in some support for what you're going through and congratulate you on leaving that whiskey alone. AF = 17 A = 8 The casino got me, and I drank many glasses of wine...like the most I've had since I started this LA journey. Blah.
-
Best of luck on your journey. Take it one minute at a time if you have to :hugs:
-
I hate the feeling after I cave also. It makes me feel worthless, tbh. I hope today is better for you...and me. Casino night, and I really want to finish the month out without alcohol and without being a bump on a log on date night.

Hi, Maddi! Best of luck to you on your journey! What is they say about journeys? (I had to Google it). "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." You've taken the first step. Now, GO!

@tmbg1 Way to go!! I know what you mean!

It soooo is a struggle!
