5'6 SW: 156 CW: 133 GW: 125 Will probably knock GW down to 115-120. (I have a small frame.)

Nature's Pride doesn't have HFCS either. Just an fyi for those that avoid it. I personally love the multi-grain.

FIrst thing that came to my mind. I don't know about 3 times, but the foot long is definitely at least twice as much food as a Big Mac.

How depressing. His posts are the kind I look for and need. I don't want to buy something because I think it's healthy and then find out that it isn't. If it isn't healthy and I decide to eat it anyway, that's fine, but I want to be informed. UGH. I've only been here a week and he was already one of my favorite posters.

Oy vey. The thought makes me nauseous.

Thank you for this! I ran and put it on my Amazon wish list so I don't forget about it. I definitely want that book. Sounds fab.

Thanks y'all! (Yes, I am Southern. ) I won't worry so much about my various levels then if it's not a bad thing to be always over in protein and under in carbs. Or maybe I will manually adjust my percentages. I do eat all of those things you mentioned, Banks, but perhaps I should just up my intake of them a bit…

Mmmm, good idea, PAH. I might have to hunt for some good quality ice cream. Nuts are generally my go to, but if I eat anymore nuts than I already am than I may turn into one...lol.

Thank you for that list, Joanna. I bookmarked it and I am sure it'll come in handy. Sandas, I do generally eat whole grain cereal every day, although I ran out of it this week and haven't had the chance to buy more yet. Maybe that's part of the reason why i'm struggling with my numbers the last couple of days. Thanks. :-)

So it's not a bad thing to be consistently over on protein and under on carbs? If that's the case then I think I won't have such a hard time with it. I'm just trying to get my meals, or at least my day, as balanced as possible.

I don't even want to think about how I'll get extra calories in when I start exercising. Yeesh!
-
I'm new at this, but it sounds to me that with working out so much you're definitely not eating enough. I'm going to start eating 1350 and that's prior to working out.
-
Thanks Falcon. I know that is the case. I am just not used to it. I'll get there. It'll just take some time learning how to eat that many calories in a healthy way. I've never counted calories before. Only fat. So this is new for me.
-
Thanks a bunch. I'll get up to 1350 first and then maybe in another week go higher. Don't think I can do it all at once since I've already been stuggling to get 1200 in. Going by this website, at the moment I have a sedentary lifestyle since most days I sit at a computer.

I weight 140. It's on my tracker, but my little runner guy is blocking the number. I'll bump my calorie intake up to 1350 tomorrow. I've been going with 1200 so far. Thanks! ~Jill

5'6" and I have a small frame.

Thanks Banks. I was hoping you'd respond. I've been reading your posts the last couple of days and have learned a lot already. I actually set my goal to 1 lb a week. Maybe I should knock it down to 1/2 a pound? Although then I'll have to eat a bunch more calories and good grief I was so full yesterday eating just…

Which is why I'm thinking I should be eating over that estimate despite the number of calories MFP tells me I should eat? Maybe I'm more confused than I thought I was. I just want to make sure I'm not eating less calories than I should. I do that already on my own.
-
Thanks. I do understand about exercise calories. I was just wondering if I should stick with what MFP tells me to do, on the days I don't exercise. I've read several posts where people say you should never eat less than your BMR number and I certainly don't want to keep my metabolism from picking up. ~Jill
