Knittingdeb: Congrats! I know you are excited to be so close. I am getting there myself. I have 12.6 pounds to get back to my goal and regain my KOPS status. Yea! Like you, I plan to continue to the bottom of leeway so that I am not constantly fearful of losing status again. Keep us your good work.

lamaina, I am pulling for you! You can do this. Can't wait to see how you do this week!

Mustangteri, I don't know how to do what you ask but I just make it easier by: When the topic opens, it shows you in the top right corner how many pages there are. I click on the last page and then go there and scroll to the bottom few yo dcan for messages I haven't read. It is pretty quick.

My goal is to reach KOPS status over this summer. I am 15 pounds, as well, and I know I can do it. I lost 25 pounds over the summer last year. Of course, I had a lot more to lose then which made losing a lot easier.

Hi redpaisleyrose! In a couple of weeks I will be 72. How's that for being over 60? I am here to tell you that it can be done. I have had a discouraging week this week, but when I look back over the past year, I have done well. My newly adopted slogan fits what you are saying here...."If Not Now...When?" I may not have…

Hi There! I am in Springfield, Missouri. We have about 20 members in our chapter and 5 of those are KOPS! I am on my way back to goal and regaining my KOPS status. I have about 15 pounds to go to get to goal. Man! that first 40 was nothing...this last bit is a bear! This place helps a lot. It helps me focus on journaling…

I just went to Bed Bath and Beyond to check this machine out. I might get one, but it seemed like a lot ($50) for something I wondered if I could do in a blender. However, the picture of the end product sure makes you want to buy it. Apparently you freeze bananas, then add one frozen banana and any kind of partlially…

I like this idea. Sometimes we get so bogged down in "being TOPS" that we lose sight of the fact that we are working toward being and staying KOPS.

You can change your goal as many times as you want to and can get your medical adviser to sign off on. I say, if you are healthy and able to lose that weight, lower it to what you now weigh. That 5-7 pounds will put you in leeway (at the bottom) and things will be fine. If and when it becomes hard to maintain that weight,…

Good for you, Mustangterri! I told someone the other day that my chapter needs to have a program on keeping a food diary. Most of our people turn one in (we do fine 25 cents for not turning one in and make it part of most of our contests). But they write down "cereal"...is that a cup or the box??? I can't tell you how…

Kay, That's why we need to sipport one another. You have to be super human to do it alone....don't know about you but I lost my super powers 50 years ago when I began to put on weight. Some of my friends tell me that I will be very wrinkled if I lose any more. I tell them that you can't see wrinkles from a block away, but…

Hi Kay, I am older than 40...much older. I am about to have my 72nd birthday in a couple of weeks. I am an emotional eater. Any emotion...you name it. I, too, have tried many different diets in the past and they all worked until I stopped working at it. That is what I like about TOPS. It recognizes that weight loss and…

I found you! Hi everyone...I was having trouble finding this group, but Sueellen helped me. Attendance...hmmmm. I don't have an accurate number but I joined in 2001 and I bet I haven't missed more than a dozen meetings. I have been Leader and Co-Leader several different times and am currently enjoying being a member. lol I…
