  • It's really up to you what you do. I usually do 10 minutes of cardio on my lifting days as a warmup. And then on my other days I do Jillian Michaels videos and might start adding some running in again.

  • I was just going to ask this exact question! I wasn't sure either!

  • Thanks for the recipe, can't wait to try.
  • The problem is there is a huge misunderstanding between water intake and total daily fluid intake. Total daily fluid intake includes all sources of fluid. IE water, milk, pop, soup, fruits, etc. Water intake = water
  • Looks amazing. Bumping for later
  • Since you have been losing weight consistently at 1490 and are happy with your 1lb per week, you could adjust your settings manually back to 1490. MFP isn't always right and you know your body best. If you are losing at 1490 there really is no reason to decrease youre calories further.
  • Thanks for the info. But I'm actually from Canada and doing the race in Las Vegas so training with local folks isn't too likely. But good info for another race.
  • I use Runkeeper and absoloutely love it.
  • Agree with PP about getting fitted. And generally just trying on a bunch of shoes. Both my sister and I recently went to a running store to get fitted. We both have neutral feet so were looking at the same shoes. I put on a pair of Mizunos and instantly knew they were my shoes. They felt so comfortable and amazing. My…
  • Try P90X Ab Ripper. It's a killer! You can just find it on youtube without buying the whole p90x dvd's
  • If you don't have a heart rate monitor, most people count it as circuit training general
  • First step is definitely invest in proper shoes. Go to a store that will fit your shoes. It makes the world of difference. If you're never ran before, I would suggest starting with a program like Couch to 5km. http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml And importantly, start slow. Don't expect that you are going to…
  • I wish I knew the answer but am bumping in case someone else does. My bones have ached like this for years. Particularly when I do a lot of activity. I have no idea why but I just take an advil/tylenol when it happens and it goes away quickly.
  • I sometimes find I struggle with this as well. The best thing for me is to pre plan my days. That way I have a better idea of how many calories I will have left over and then I try to work in extra snacks or higher calorie items (nuts, oils, peanut butter) into my day rather than trying to eat a bunch of food at night for…
  • Bumping for later. Thanks for the recipe!
  • I would suggest gradually weaning yourself from creamer down to milk. If you use half and half now. Start by using 1 1/2 tablespoons creamer and 1 1/2 tablespoons milk. Then continually increase the milk until you change to all milk. If you like flavoured creamer then switch to flavoured coffee and do the same thing with…

  • I'm on day 20 of the 30DS. I love the video. I think its especially a great starter video because they are only 20 minutes long. Who doesn't have twenty minutes in their day. The workout is really effective and you definitely see results.
  • I've had that feeling lots after a workout. I'll just eat an apple and that feeling goes away. It happens to me too even if I've eaten previous to working out.
  • Can I ask why you care about your potassium intake?
  • Alot of chinese places now even post NO MSG because people worry about that. You could ask but they might not be able to make it without. MSG is usually found in things like sauces, soups, etc. Many of these they may buy prepackaged not prepare so they can't take it out.
  • I think you should limit fruit juice or even better eliminate from your diet entirely. However in my opinion, sugar from fruits and milk is okay as these provide other health benefits.

  • Definitely count them. Particularly fruit calories can add up quickly. Calories are calories no matter where they come from. Though its really great that so many of yours comes from fruits/veggies!
  • Just finished day 13 today. Feel free to add me.
  • Many people log it as circuit training general. Or if you have a heart rate monitor you can manually enter your calories burned and enter it as 30 day shred. I'm doing it right now. Currently, not doing any other exercising unless there is a day where I'm not going to be at home to do the workout then I run or do…
  • I've heard that the polar ones can be worn underwater. The only warning is not to touch any buttons on the watch while underwater. Also heard that its not near as accurate underwater. No personal experience but some of the things I ran into while researching what heart rate monitor to buy for myself.

  • V8 lacks fibre and is high in sodium. Definitely vegetables are a better choice.
  • My goal is to make fitness a priority in my life and workout 3-4 times per week. Ultimate goal to reduce body fat percentage.
