  • D11/L2 done. Can't believe we are going into our third week already! Keep it up girls!!!!! :drinker: :drinker:
  • I agree with everyone plus I would STRONGLY recommend doing your own extra stretching at the end. Jillian kinda rushes through the cool-down/stretching part and I was very sore the first few days until I started doing my own stretching. Now I feel shaky for an hour or so  right after the workout, but i'm not sore the…
  • You are very brave!:noway: doing the shred 2 x's in one day! :drinker: I did level 2 today which was the first time i did level 2 on consecutive days (have been alternating L1/L2 for a few days) and boy do I feel it
  • yeah, definitely feel the burn in the shoulders on level 2! :explode: are you able to do the true versions of the plank jacks and squat thrusts? i have only been able to get a few good ones in, then I switch to the modified versions. Can't imagine a time that I'll be doing them all, but I hope I improve!
  • And she is always standing up a little bit on her squats too! cracks me up  and makes me feel better about myself for sticking it out!
  • anybody else thinking that "Natalie" would rather be doing the modified versions instead of the advanced ones?
  • whew! day 6 done. I did level 2 again tonite and almost fell out! but it felt good in the end! way to go girls! keep it up!!
  • I also started stretching A LOT longer at the end and doing my normal stretching/cool-down routine, and I think that helps too!
  • Okay...so I got a little crazy today and did the level 2! :noway: I was really just curious to see the difference, not that I really needed an increase in intensity  I liked it, but did have trouble with some of the cardio moves (like plank jacks) but there are "modified" versions  I think I might alternate…
  • L1D3 done! even after driving 7 1/2 hours home from vacation! it actually felt good to do the jumping jacks!!! CRAZY!!! :noway: I decided to do my own stretching routine afterwards, I think she's too quick with the little bit of stretching at the end. Keep it up everyone!!! Feeling good now....looking good soon!!! LOL!!
  • jumping on board with y'all....just did L1D2 (started a day after you guys) and my arms and legs feel all wobbly  LOVE IT! Jillian is kicking my butt and it feels good to be sore! I'm on the road for 7 1/2 hrs tomorrow and then work 12 hours shifts for the next 3 after that, so hopefully I will still squeeze in a…
  • i love all of these....plus the one in my siggy....
  • well, for those of us who like to add a little bit of something to our tea or whatever.... I switched from using the pink stuff to using splenda to my current favorite....Sun Crystals!!! they are all natural, no chemicals and only 5 calories per packet. I use them for my tea as well as sprinkled over…
  • funny you ask about numbers. i was just talking to somebody about how i didn't set a specific 'number on the scale' goal or a specific 'date' to get there. that's what's different for me this time around. i just want to get to a healthy and comfortable place and i don't care when it happens. I have an idea of where i would…
  • I usually try to get right up to the 1200 as close as possible. I do occasionally stay under, esp. if I burn a lot of exercise cals, but I still try to get within 150 of my goal. If I go over I try not to go over by more than 50-100 as well. I figure everything is an average and estimate anyways, so if your close either…
  • I eat around that many calories and I'm not breastfeeding! seriously though I think you should increase your daily allowance by AT LEAST 400-500 from what's recommended if you weren't BFing and make sure you eat back your exercise calories as well. Your body NEEDS those extra calories just to MAKE the milk for your…
  • thank you all for your responses. to be more specific, i was down to the 1200 cal daily limit with a goal of 1 lb per week, i would generally eat between 1180 - 1250 net calories. then, last week i increased to 1400/day net, with about a 0.5 lb/week projected loss. I guess I could just keep doing what i'm doing right now…
  • great job on the 60 that are gone! :drinker: i started out at 162, went through the 150's fairly easily and now kinda slowing down in the 140's. My goal is to get under 140, but i don't care if that is only 1/2 - 1 off per week, as long as it's going in the right direction. some weeks i don't lose anything, and i just keep…
  • Yes, coffee itself has few calories, but the cream and sugar adds a lot. I, too, was addicted to caffeine and when I decided to make a change in my lifestyle this time around  that was one of the things I chose to change as well. Not so much for the caffeine (although I did want to cut back on that) but more so for…
  • 00trayn : I just finished my 6 week challenge yesterday!! woo hoo ( it took me longer than 6 weeks though) But i LOVED the programs and the way it changed it up each day. I couldn't make it through the "skipping" rope the first few times either, I think I took a breather at about 75! and then I switched my settings from…
  • another round of wii boxing on the expert level and got lower than last time! :grumble: 1033 !! You girls rock!! :drinker: I thought I was doing so good all the way through, footwork was good, punches were right on target most of the time (with the 'bigger' bangs) then only to get lower!! But, again, it was a good workout.…
  • okay you boxing girls....it took me 2 games of the advanced level to finally unlock the expert level, by then my arms were kind of tired and i was sweating through the 10 minutes of expert to only get a 1085! this might take me a while to get to the 1300's but...it was a good workout! lol
  • okay, so i was here for the March Wii team, and have been silently stalking the April team  but now I am driven by a challenge.... i have been doing my 6 week challenge on the EASA "more" and only have 2 days of that left, but now I have some motivation to get to the expert level of boxing on the wiifitplus and get…
  • LOL, I didn't know what WAWA was until we moved to Delaware. I don't usually get anything to eat there, but I have had their subs in the past and they are good. Maybe a 6 in. veggie sub or with a little turkey, just don't add mayo or dressings and have it on wheat. Shouldn't be much different than a subway version.

  • I actually just got back from target where I bought new wrist wts that are 2 lbs each. I tried different resist. bands but couldn't get one that was just right and I am able to be more consistent in my form with the wrist weights, plus I don't have to hold on to anything else but the remotes. the wrist weights were only…
  • LMAO!!! thanks for making me smile  I guess I probably have a couple extra pounds from those as well!!!!

  • well, just did my workout 17 of 24 on the 6 week challenge in EASA "more workouts" which was 30 min and i burned ~ 175 cal. then i did another 10 min of step to try my riser out and the cool down and burned an additional 75 cal. My legs are def. feeling the difference in the 3 extra inches to step up onto the balance…
  • Just got my step 'riser' for the balance board tonight! yay! I am excited to try it with tomorrow's workout! I'll let you know how it goes!
  • Peter, the new 'active' has a lot of different workouts, some that are similar but 'improved' the running is better in that there are more 'stations' to stop and do squats, lunges, jumps, etc; there is better boxing/sparring, less side to side lunges (which i found to be hard on the knees), GREAT aerobic activities that…
