Yes. It is similar to what I am doing. I don't eat all of them back though. There is a spreadsheet available that will convert the calories burned to what you should put in MFP and eat back. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Amt7QBR9-c6MdGVTbGswLUUzUHNVVUlNSW9wZWloeUE#gid=14 Fill in the Simple Set Up and then go…

Good for you! That is definitely progress!

This ^. I gained 12 lbs on a 12 night cruise in spite of tons of walking. I don't regret a single bite. I came home and lost it again. It took time but it was worth it. Enjoy and do damage control when you get home.

This is my favourite smoothie 1/2 cup frozen raspberries (the raspberries are mandatory) 1/2 cup frozen peaches or cherries 1/2 cup frozen wild blueberries or strawberries 1/2 cup stirred organic yogurt (Sometimes I use almond milk, coconut milk or 1% milk) 3/4 water 1 tablespoon chia seeds 1 scoop Kaizen - Natural Whey…

Okay, I lied yesterday. I dropped 1.6 lbs today. So keep at it. It will come off eventually.

It is funny that you post this because I am in exactly the same situation at 5'5", 140 lbs give or take a half pound and wearing a size 8 with some 6s. I have been trying to get down to 135 for a while now and nothing is moving fast. I look quite slim in my clothes but I know that I still have a fair amount of fat on my…

I made the exercise part of my work day. If I went home without doing it, it didn't get done. I was an Elementary School Principal and after the school kids went home, I went for a walk with a friend from the school. After the walk, I went back to work and finished up. Then I went home and took care of the rest of my life.…

The Wendy's in my town takes the fresh burger patties, chops them up and fries the meat on the grill. The rest of the ingredients that go into it are fresh. My friend, who is a clean freak, worked for them and was totally impressed with the care and quality of the ingredients of many of the items. By the way, my friend is…

^^^This. I also think you misunderstood your doctor. She is probably concerned that you want to go too low as 110 for 5'4" is pretty thin imho.

Lose the weight, moisturize and give it two years for the skin to tighten up. If then you are still with a pouch, then look at the surgery. I didn't have a C-section but I do have a hysterectomy scar. It took 8 months for it to mostly flatten out and with continued weight loss, it is looking better all the time. I am 2 and…

You seem to be doing okay...it is just going to take time. It took me originally 3 years to lose 50 lbs. Then through a trip and not being careful, I put 17 of those back on... I am back down to the 50 lbs off but it took me about 9 months. This is a long term proposition as far as I am concerned. I am amazed at those who…

^^^This. I had a pair of Asics that I wore for a month only. My knees started hurting and they ended up hurting for the entire winter. I had been fitted by someone who didn't know what they were doing. I went to a more reputable store and was properly fitted. I ended up with Saucony Triumphs and now I just walk into the…

I like the idea of strappy silver heels. I don't care for either of your choices. If the pink were truly nude (they look pink, not nude) they might work better. I like the white but they steal the thunder from your dress (which is gorgeous by the way). So go shopping for new shoes.

Do you like stuffed peppers? If you do, make up a mixture of couscous, cooked ground turkey, feta cheese, breadcrumbs and spices with some chicken broth. Sorry I don't have the exact recipe because my daughter makes it up as she goes along.

I use RunKeeper to track my distance, speed and calories. I believe that they have training programs on it as well. Check it out.
-
I have lost 50 lbs through walking and watching what I am eating. I have just recently added Pilates. Keep walking! It might take some time but it works.
-
The second one looks so good on you that I caught myself saying out loud to the computer: "That one looks MUCH better!" You totally rock that black and white one! Excellent choice!

If you are doing it for cholesterol reasons (me too), you need to make sure that a lot of that fiber is soluble. This is why I stick to things like psyllium husks, chia seeds and Benefiber for a large chunk of my fiber. Oats are also another good source of soluble fiber.
-
430 sounds more like it. I use RunKeeper and I burn about that during my walks for a similar amount of time.
-
I take whole psyllium husks and Benefiber as supplements to ensure I get my fiber to 30 grams a day. I am trying to lower my LDL cholesterol so a lot of my fiber has to be soluble. I also eat Fiber One bars. I am going to have to look into those Quest bars.

I think you have a good start and should keep going. You need to think of this as a lifestyle change. It took me 3 years to lose 50 lbs and then in the past year, I gained some back due to a cruise and have lost it again. I want to go down another 5 to 10 but I know it takes time and at my age, I just can't eat as much as…

I hope you sent that video in to them. Good luck! You deserve it!

I use the copy the day before function so I don't have to enter them individually each day.

I track my supplements. It turned out that they added up to 80 calories a day. It is also helpful to me to see how much calcium and fiber I am getting via food and supplements. I can then top up if needed.

Mid 50s here and 5'5". Goal weight is 135 and might reevaluate when I get there. (Only 5 lbs to go but it isn't happening fast =( ) Present weight is the same weight I was in my late 20s.

I used real maple syrup. That can totally account for the difference. Avocados calorie counts are all over the place on MFP so I chose a medium Haas Avocado. By the way, it tastes better the next day once the coco has had a chance to soak into the avocado.
-
I hate to say that the calorie count is off. I calculated it to be 263 calories when I used the MFP recipe calculator. Same recipe. Serves two people. =(

This is apparently amazing. A friend gave it to me and it is her tweaked recipe. Gluten Free Bread Flour Mix: Mix well: 1 c. rice flour 1 c. tapioca starch 1 c. cornstarch 1 tbsp potato flour (not starch) In a bowl, combine: 2 ½ c. flour mix (1/4 - ½ c. of other gluten free flours may be substituted i.e. brown rice flour,…

This is going to sound weird but try Ebay. I buy mine from France on Ebay and get them for around 15 to 20 dollars plus shipping which adds another 10 to 15 dollars. The bras are all brand names and normally retail for 75 to 100 bucks so it is a great deal in the end. Be careful of sizing ... a 32 US is a French 85, a UK…

I started logging my supplements yesterday although I did go back a week and added them in. The surprise was that it all added up to an extra 80 calories daily that I wasn't accounting for. It also helps me know if I need to take extra calcium to meet my daily goals. I would recommend logging everything that goes into your…
