Eat more. Start by changing your settings to maintain weight and start adding 100-200 calories a week, depending on how much your calorie deficit, to what you are eating presently. If you find you are still losing, then keep adding more calories until your weight stabilizes. Weight yourself once a week to determine if you…

Thanks! That is helpful! I was wondering why others could eat so much and not gain. I even eat a bit less (1400 calories) than what MFP says and most of my active calories back in order to maintain. This has generally been the pattern for the last year and a half.

My daughter and I went on a 6 week European vacation which includes a cooking class in Tuscany, 24 day cruise and visiting with family. My daughter maintained and even lost on the cruise. I gained 3-4 pounds over the 6 weeks (still stayed within my 5 lbs maintenance range) and promptly lost those once I got home. The key…

I am 57, 5'5" tall, weigh 129.6 as of this morning (maintaining between 125 and 130 for the last couple of years) and eat 1400 calories without exercise. My exercise varies from day to day. This may include Pilates for 50 minutes, walking anywhere from 5 to 10 km, or a half hour of circuit. I eat most of those calories…

I never saw a big wow factor. The weight loss was very slow and steady with a lot of plateaus but I just kept at it. It took me 5 years to lose 60 lbs but as my doctor told me, I am more liable to keep the weight off because I did it so slow. Just keep walking and making slow changes to your diet.

I am also 5"5" and 130 lbs. You look a heck of a lot better than I do. Mind you, I am a lot older but still. Keep up whatever you are doing and ignore the scale.

To add to the lists above: dates, almonds, dried apricots, prunes and figs. Chia seeds also have a decent amount of fiber.

I believe this has been posted before but here goes: 101 Simple Salads for the Season MOSTLY VEGAN SALADS 1. Cube watermelon and combine with tomato chunks, basil and basic vinaigrette. You can substitute peach for the watermelon or the tomato (but not both, O.K.?). You can also add bacon or feta, but there goes the…

As well as rice based protein powders. Go to your health food store and ask to see the options.

Go to a specialty bra store and I don't mean Victoria's Secret. They will fit you properly and the price is worth it.

As a retired principal, there is no excuse for leaving children unsupervised. There should be more than one staff member on duty. What are they going to do if there is an emergency on the playground? Someone needs to be thinking this through. As to your son, I don't condone violence but he did try to do the right thing…

I do mainly to remember taking them and because there are a few calories in fish oils. All part of logging everything that goes into my mouth.

This may sound odd but cooked celery tossed in a bit of butter is yummy as a side vegetable dish. Just boil the celery until tender, add salt, pepper and butter. I remember my mom making this for us as kids.

A tankini is a great option! I am the same height as you and when I was that weight, I would not wear a bikini. Mind you, I am probably a lot older but it would still be a no at that weight even when I was younger.

Keep at it. It takes me a fair bit of weight loss before my bra size changes. I am not sure what I started at because I was wearing the wrong bra size but around 30 lbs ago, I was a 34 G/H and now I am a 32 E/F.

The ladies are right to say walk, walk, walk. I have lost almost 60 pounds by walking. Roughly 30 before my hysterectomy and 30 after. I just started a Pilates class last April so most of my weight has come off through counting calories and walking. My Hysterectomy was 3 years ago and I found the most wonderful community…

MacBook (Pro or Air). I have owned Macs since 95 and they just keep on trucking. The software is designed to work seamlessly with the hardware from the same manufacturer so you aren't dealing with unexpected incompatibilities. Some will say they are more expensive than some Windows machines but once again, you get what you…

30 to 50 grams of fiber a day is a recipe for constipation unless you are also drinking gallons of water. I only agree with numbers 1, 2, 8 and 9. The rest is a recipe for another fad diet.

I use the following site for Pilates. http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc Seems to be working for me in terms of calories since I am still losing (slowly but still losing).

Saving for later.

You are awe inspiring. Keep it up!

If you want to lose fat, then beware you might end up with loose skin. (Sorry I couldn't resist. Thanks to the OP since this is one of my pet peeves.)

Yum!!!! Someone after my own heart!

Avocados, nuts, dried fruit, mangoes, bananas, croutons, granola are a few that I eat but make sure it is a small portion due to how calorie dense they are.

Since I am Canadian, we had Thanksgiving back in October but I thought I would post the menu here in case it inspires anyone. Menu Oct 13 Onion Mushroom Soup with Cheese Croûtes Chardonnay Cold Meats and Foie Gras Italian Round Bread Cabernet/ Merlot Roasted Turkey Roulade (Barefoot Contessa) Oven Roasted Potatoes,…

I think you have spaces in your tags. Take out all of the spaces.

Good job! Keep it up! And stop with the negative self comments.

I also use HeyBales spreadsheet but I use it a little differently than stated above. Because my exercise is not consistent, I don't want to over eat on the days I don't exercise (similar to the way MFP works). I filled in the Simple Set up but left the activity/exercise area blank. At the bottom of the spreadsheet, there…

People don't like change and it bothers them when what they expect isn't there. I have a friend that has lost a huge amount of weight and I keep thinking that she looks like skin and bones. It is almost like talking to a stranger. This isn't a conscious thing on my part, it is just automatic and I catch myself at it. The…
