Great advice in this post and other posts! You are not eating enough! I don't do hunger ever! I cut back on my portions, count my calories and make wise choices but if I want a treat, I eat a very small piece because I know that if I deprive myself, it isn't sustainable. Being French, you don't eat to live, you live to eat…

The key to my smoothies tasting good are raspberries. So my recipe goes like this: 2 scoops Visalus powder (using up what I have right now) 3/4 c. Raspberries 3/4 c. Other fruit 1 tbsp chia seeds 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk and sometimes, I add a tbsp of oatmeal.

I beg to differ! A friend and I walked a half of a marathon at that pace (Yes we walked the whole way). I am 54 and she is 65 so don't say that no-one can keep up that pace for an hour when we did it for 3 and half hours!

^^^ I love this! LOL

Question here: Do you do the salad exactly as described or do you put the salad described on top of greens?
-
Awesome advice!!! The only thing to add is don't buy junk food. Keep it out of your house then you won't be tempted in the car or in the house.

I had a smoothie today too and put in a frozen banana. I don't know if the banana was unripe but it was awful. It has a really bitter taste. My suggestion is to get rid of the banana and put in other fruit. Raspberries and blueberries are a great combo.

Perfect response!

I am 54 and recently post-menopausal. I haven't found a lot of difference yet peri and post menopause but I am finding that I am losing weight a lot slower than I did 15 years ago but it is coming off. I am back down to what I was at 29 years old (144) when I got pregnant with my daughter although I can't blame any weight…

You are going to need to choose one or the other (MFP and eating back all of your calories or the TDEE -20%). It is up to you but as previously mentioned, give it a month to see if it works. MFP didn't work for me, probably because I wasn't eating back all of my calories and I find having a steady number to aim for whether…
-
I suggest that you look at your BMR again. It seem rather high to me as mine is between 1319 and 1378 depending on which calculator I use. I was using MFP's calculations which put me at 1200 calories and eating back part of my calories and I got nowhere. I was yoyoing up and down with no definite downwards trend. I decided…

I am surprised that you are wearing the same size. When I was this weight (144 lbs) in high school (40 years ago), I was wearing a very tight 14. Right now, I am between a 6 and and 8. I still have m wedding dress which is a 10 from 1979 and there is no way I can get into it. Back then, I didn't have a hope in you know…

A new pair of Saucony Triumph 10 runners and a pair of Ice breaker wool bottoms. Two items I had asked for so I am happy!

I agree that you might be eating too little. I was stuck for a while while doing the 1200 calorie a day thing and eating part of my calories back. I took the advice on here and figured out my BMR and TDEE. Long story short, I am eating 1500 calories daily and not eating my exercise calories at all. The weight has started…

That is just sad. I wonder if she has any clue on how hurtful she is being. Or if she does it on purpose or she just doesn't care. I am glad your hubby found you so at least someone truly loves him.

This are cheaply made and fall apart very easily. The thumbtack type are better. IMHO

Get shoes that have spikes in them, use an overshoe that has spikes or grips or make your own. The cheapest is to make your own and it is pretty simple. Google studding running shoes and you will see how to do it. Personally, I have a rubber overshoe that acts as studded tires for my shoes. Don't get the coils or the cheap…

I only counted the miles done for exercise.

^^^^ This! I enjoy every bite I put into my mouth and just eat less of it to fit in my calorie count. I have never regretted a single meal in my life even it if meant that I gained (as proven by gaining 12 lbs in a two week cruise). I have lost it again and I just keep moving forward.

I walk so I hope this is okay! I started logging Dec 7 although I have been walking for a lot longer than that. From the time I have been logging, I have done 127 km which equals to 78.9 miles. 12/7 - 8.45 km 12/8 - 9.53 km 12/9 - 12.59 km 12/10 - 8.51 km 12/12 - 8.43 km 12/13 - 8.51 km 12/14 - 8.47 km 12/15 - 12.51 km…

Please talk to someone like a school counselor. You seem to be heading down the wrong road and it is better to get help early rather than later when certain habits have been established. {{{Hugs}}}

^^^^ This!

I am sorry but I have to comment on this. This is way too thin for your height even if you have tiny bones. Please reconsider this goal and maybe even put on a few pounds of muscle.
-
My hubby did the same thing. He stops when he decides to lose weight. =P
-
I am 5'5" and my first goal was 144 because that is what I weighed before and after having my daughter 25 years ago. Now that I am pretty well there (144.8) I am aiming for 135 and I will see what I look like at that weight. My lowest was 127 back when I was only 20. Being 54 now, that was a long time ago!

Foie Gras Mousse, Veggie Lasagna and French Bread. It was delicious!

Cranberry sauce on turkey. =P Totally gross! PS. I know that is the American/Canadian way but my French trained taste buds cannot stomach that combo!
