And now I want tea sandwiches and scones to go with the cup of tea I am drinking...

Depends on the use. Hot chocolate and baking I use whole, for breakfast I do soy milk, and for straight up drinking I like 2%. Eat what you like and drink what you like if you can fit it in your calories and not binge.

As far as binge eating goes, I keep triggers out of my house. As much as I would LOVE to have them around I just can't. I only have a few triggers, so it isn't that bad and I don't feel deprived.

I'm 5'4" CW 155. My GW is 115 with the expectation that I will go up by about 5 pounds when I start maintenance. Also it is all relative because I would like to be more muscular, and muscle takes up less volume than fat by weight. I am totally cool with weighing 130 pounds and being toned with 20% BF :D

Some people do not like the egg yolk from a texture/taste POV. Others don't like the egg whites for the same reason. Personally I love eggs. Totally tasty!

Kinda depends on you for the how it makes you feel. I don't drink any coffee until I am at work. I will eat an apple or banana and bowl of cereal when I wake up and by the time i get to the gym it has been an hour.

On MFP I log onceish a week. But I weigh almost everyday and log it onto an spreadsheet. I want to make a lot of graphs at the end of this journey =)

I like the vegetable steamers that you can throw in the microwave. I second the rotisserie chicken. I've been doing stouffer's freezer meals for lunch with a bag of veg. the meals are about 400 cal and veg about 70. They have protein but may be too high in salt for you. I think Trader Joe's has some frozen meals that are…

You forgot "put a bag over it's head so it isn't staring at you." Personally I like the odd numbers of the suggestion above.

No I haven't but I had a friend who worked on a military base and he said everyone was very careful. Just be careful =)

In all seriousness, don't do anything to rock the culture boat. You won't get off because you are a foreigner. I would just walk a lot and do a body weight routine in your room.

I haven't been eating these for breakfast but Nature Valley has some chewy protein granola bars that come in at 190 calories. They are tasty. Try that anda yogurt? I have been drinking stoneyfield's yogurt smoothie things.

I wonder if this would work with tomato soup?

baked goods that either I or a respected source did not make. I cannot tell you how many times I have bitten into a less than worthy baked good.

Also completely OT (and a little dark):

You are clearly a geek. I like you=D also cheese is awesome, although this statement does not help OP.

Grandmothers. They make the best food and always put more on your plate. Love them to death and have to eat up. I dunno, guy is jerk. HR is a great thing. I have never had to deal with food harassment. I have had to deal with sexual harassment, which a combo of telling the person that their actions were unappreciated and a…

Apps! now that I have a device that supports these things, I forgot I can use these things! I got unreasonably excited.

@lemurcat12 off topic, but my god your cat is adorable!

Just to point out, this study is going on in Sri Lanka and the focus of the study is for countries that eat rice a lot more than westerners do. To say "just eat less rice" is probably a difficult concept for them because rice is such an integral part of their culture. Also since this is just the first study they have done,…

So basically no one here is impressed. Personally I agree with: I was interested to see if anyone thought this would be a practical practice, which does not seem to be anyone. I would like to someday see the actual science more thoroughly explained someday. I think this has the potential to lead to fad diets.

I weigh it and figure out the calories for the whole thing. Then I try dividing the calories by different numbers until I get one that satisfies me (for meals usually around 300) and the I divide the total weight by the number of servings. Example: Lasagna recipe ~ 7800 calories. Divide that by 24 and you get 325 calories.…

He is talking about BeachBody.com which has new programs coming out all the time. 21 Day Fix, P90X. Insanity, Focus T25 are all work out programs. Shakeology is a "smoothie" meal replacement thing that is expensive and I have never tried. I tried Insanity, but it turned out I had Lyme's Disease so it was super painful for…

Another side may be that she was trolling you. While I agree that there are people on here with serious problems, some take advantage of that and get their jollies out of tormenting other people. Just an alternative to consider. I am not saying she was definitely a troll or not.

Well, it has only been a week and you said "majority of your meals" so that isn't exactly an accurate accounting of you calories if you are skipping measuring some meals. Are you over estimating how many calories you need in a day? Are you eating back too many calories from exercise? If you just started working out hard…

If I don't eat breakfast and work out, I feel light headed. I find that if I eat breakfast at 6 and work out at 6:30 or so I'm not really hungry until 9 when I get to work, at which point I have yogurt. If I don't work out and eat breakfast at 8, I am still hungry at 9.

I like to warm up with a little cardio before lifting also. I dunno, I don't think it matters if you do cardio or lift or do a combo, as long as you are moving more. I love racquetball and rock climbing and lifting barbells. And I can't wait for the weather to get a tad better so I can enjoy just walking outside! What is…

I have entered walking when I do a lot more walking than normal. Today I was planning on cleaning up a highway with classmates but that got canceled. Since it is about a 6 miles of highway, I was going to add that. Now we are having normal class and I skipped the gym this morning. grumble grumble.... Even so, just because…

I disagree slightly, in that cardio improves your cardiovascular system, which helps to strengthen your heart, which is a little more than "just getting to eat more." I agree that lifting weights is great for losing weight and looking tone after all that fat melts away. OP if you really want to do cardio but hate the…
