  • Hi I use them at the gym to help stretch after a workout and some toning eg I do planks on the plate. I don't think they actually shift weight. Check out this article I found on the web. http://www.vibrationplateguide.co.uk/benefitsofvibrationplates.html Best of luck!
  • I just love reading these success stories - you have done a great job! keep going to reach you goal - you deserve it!
  • There are times that I think you need a Phd to understand the contents listed on food packaging, weights and cals. I actually hate food shopping as it takes me sometime to actually buy something as I need to study the cal content etc., I am sure I will get better with time but for the time being it can be hard work.
  • I have travelled in Asia and last year spent 6 weeks in Thailand. I came home heavier - why because I ate like a westerner on holiday and not like a local. You will notice generally they are generally small people. They eat small portions and maybe 2 meals a day with some very light snacks in between generally fruit. I ate…
  • Amazing weight loss - you just look like a different person. I just love reading these postings - just gives me so much motivation just reading them. Keep them coming!
  • What about cullotes - not sure of the spelling - basically trousers that finish at the knees. They look really nice for the summer esp if they are loose and almost look like a skirt. No chaffing on the thighs etc.,
  • Hi I am following the advice you have been by other posters. I am now 8lbs away maintenance - this is the zone that has caught me out in the past. Suddenly my weight starts to increase and then I am back on the diet again. So this time I am adding just 100 cals per day for a week and then seeing how it goes. I have been…
  • Yes I log ahead. It helps to keep me on track with exercise and foods. I check the log to see what I should be having and weigh the foods to ensure that it meets the plan. I find the exercise logging ahead really helpful - for example today I have been busy and would have loved to just sit on the sofa and watch more TV,…
  • I work out 5 days a week - I would classify this as a day when I actually do planned exercise. So M,W and F = Powerwalk and T and Th = Fast Kettle bell session. I treat the weekend as my rest day but I also try to get in as much walking as possible especially at the weekend.
  • Well done on the weight loss. If you have just lost the weight - then the skin will take a while to adjust. I use bio oil and also got fitted for better bras - really you should not be slipping out.
  • I am in a similar place. I have 10lbs to go and started reverse dieting - adding just 100 cals a day/week as I move towards maintenance. In the past my approach has been to get back to normal cals as soon as poss, throw out the diet plan and exercise! Got me nothing but weight gain and back on the weight loss loop. This…
  • Only thing that I miss is the body warmth generated by the fat. Otherwise not one single thing!
  • Interesting... last time I lost weight I did little or no exercise. I got to target but was really flabby and then had to spend a long time getting thru maintenance and then trying to get fit. This time I have worked out while I have lost weight and built strength I feel so much better AND my body is actually smaller than…
  • Spookey - I just posted to another question regarding goal weight and it reminded me of the big boned issue. I am 5ft 8 ins and target 85kgs - which is high end of most weight charts. At that weight I can comfortably wear a UK size 14 and feel comfortable. Any thinner and I look ill and do not feel comfortable.

  • Hi I choose a weight that felt comfortable for me - I want to maintain at my goal and not feel that I am under/overweight. I am 5ft 8 ins and at 85 kgs - I can wear size 14 UK and appear actually slimmer. So I am happy with 85kgs - it is high on many of the medical charts that I read but it's what I feel comfortable at.
  • I love eating fish especially Tuna ( not tinned) and swordfish. I went to my local Coop in Italy yesterday and Swordfish €24.90 kg. This seems a crazy price - I can buy a whole chicken for €6.00 and 10 Italian sausages (large and very meaty) for €8.00. I really love fish so ended up buying salmon steaks instead €10.00 kg.
  • Not being asked to be a bridesmaid at my big sisters wedding - Mum told me that I was too fat. the standard dress that the other bridesmaids were wearing did not come in my size and I would spoil the photos ;-(
  • Hi I started maintenance today - I still have 4+kgs to go but as I am on a VLCD I have some way to go to get the cals back up. I am taking it very slowly 100 cals a week, which will allow me to loose weight, get to my goal and ease into a healthy way of eating. Ianthy
  • Hi I have my workout saved in my BB and also carry it on a piece of paper too. That hour in the gym is too precious to waste it wondering around trying to remember what to do next. On occasion, I vary the running order if a piece of equipment is not available but generally I follow the same routine. Particularly for the…
  • Great plus the benefit of doing the weight loss journey together. My hubby never seems to diet but when I go on a diet he seems to loose weight too :ohwell:
  • Sounds like you need a change? I like variety and can get bored with the same work out routines. At the moment I love kettle bells and power walks in a few months time who knows. For sure when I start to feel bored I find another exercise otherwise I end up doing nothing and eating the same cals = weight gain. Try…
  • Keep these stories coming - just makes me feel to so motivated to keep going! Well done you look fab!
  • Great work but does the celebration need to be food related?
  • Well done. I just love these success stories - they just so motivating!
  • Totally agree. In the past I would loose weight then start to work on strength/cardio after reaching my target - it then took ages to build up any real strength and my body felt really loose and flabby. This time I have been doing some cardio but more weights and resistance training - I am stronger and the shape of my body…
  • Hi Other folks will have all the more technical terms for muscle groups etc I like squats they firm up my butt and thighs - the hardest part for me to loose weight/fat. More recently I added a kettle bell to this part of my work out, which should give me improved results. Enjoy the squat challenge.
  • Today 20 minutes Kettle Bell work out plus walking at a shopping centre for 1 hour :-(.
  • Carrots roasted with cumin - at the moment i can't get enough of them!
