I also have a Fitbit Zip but I was not able to sync it with MFP. MFP said that it was connected but neither MFP or Fitbit dashboard was picking up the data. So I disconnected it and then the dashboard started working again. Has anyone else had this problem?

Correction, my fitbit itself is working but it is not transmitting data to either the fitbit website or MFP.

I took your advice & did day 1 of week 4 and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I actually did the 6 minutes without any trouble! Thanks for the encouragement!

Congratulations! You should be very proud of yourself, sounds like it was a tough course. I am currently doing C25K & hoping to be able to run a 5k by my 60th birthday in September. You are an inspiration!

I had gastric bypass 25 years ago. It is not "an easy fix" and I am not lazy. There were many contributing factors to my decision to having the surgery and I have never regretted it. Yes, some people do regain the weight but many others keep it off. It's like anything else, you get out of it what you put into it.

I finished week 3 this morning but I think I'm going to repeat it because I don't think I have the stamina to do week 4! I looked ahead and saw that I'm supposed to run one segment for 6 minutes and I've had a hard enough time doing the 3 minutes. I don't know if I should just forge ahead & try it but my common sense is…

Congratulations on your weight loss and finding that special lady to enjoy the rest of your life with. You also sound like a great dad and role model for your daughter. Wishing you joy & continued success in all that you strive for.

Snacks are okay as long as you incorporate them into your daily calorie goal and try to make them healthy. Snacks are my weakness too, but I've been trying to substitute fruit and veggies for sweets (my absolute downfall). I love baby carrots with hummus which is quite filling or apple slices with a tablespoon of peanut…

I'm a grandma too and will turn 60 in the fall. I've been on MFP for almost a year and it's been a big factor in my ability to lose the weight. It's never too late to turn things around! Good luck on your journey and feel free to add me if you like.

I had gastric bypass in 1988 and lost over 100 lbs. Over the years I have re-gained and lost up to 40 lbs more times than I care to think about! I was 245 when I had the surgery & at one point got down to 128 (too skinny, looked terrible). This last go-round I was back up to 180 and then a trip to the doctor in February of…

I am on here pretty much every day and you can add me if you like.

I agree with you. If you have friends because you want encouragement and support then you need to be prepared to give it back. I keep my friends list small and I try to comment on each & every one every day. If I don't receive any feedback after a certain period of time then I delete them. I also delete people that haven't…

Good for you! That's a huge accomplishment, 10 lbs in one month. You are on your way to reaching your goal & you can do it!

I had gastric bypass almost 25 years ago. You never lose the need to be diligent about your weight (at least I never have which is why I'm on MFP!). Don't beat yourself up about gaining the weight back, you have made a positive step toward getting back to the weight you want to be. I lost over 100 lbs initially but have…

What size can of pumpkin do you use?

I have two friends who lost a lot of weight using it and once they stopped they both gained the weight back.

Hey John, welcome to MFP. I know exactly what you mean by making the weight loss stick for good. I have lost the same 30-40 lbs more times than I can count. By joining MFP you have made a really positive step, and there are a lot of good people here to encourage & support you, but the most important thing (in my humble…
