It might be worth it to pay for a few introductory sessions with a trainer to have them show you how to use the machines properly and set up a program for you. Or, I'm sure there are youtube videos, etc. which would show proper form and technique. Others here have mentioned good resources as well. The main thing I can say…

It's a long boat with 10 people per side. You have to paddle in unison and there's technique to it. We also have three competitions throughout the summer. The front of the boat has a dragon's head :-)

This looks so good. These boxes make lunch cute and fun!

You really do have to build your tolerance. Keep your end goal in mind too, it'll help keep you focused. Maybe that's not the exercise for you, maybe you need to find something different that you actually like? For me, I've found that I really like classes at the gym; I'm there for an hour and someone is leading me in the…

Use a makeup primer. It helps fill in the little lines and pores so your foundation goes on smoothly. Also, as others have stated, use an age-appropriate foundation. There are some great formulas out there, some that stay put and don't rub off. You can totally wear makeup over 40; I do it every day (full face, as in my…

I'm having an egg white and feta wrap with spinach on a spinach wrap.

Thanks, all. I'll look into more things I can do at home. EDIT- this is a good description of the difference between tendonitis and tendinosis: http://www.innerbody.com/diseases-conditions/tendinitis-and-tendinosis

I'm going by what my doctor diagnosed it as. Also, similar to what I found online (painful Achilles going up the back of the leg, really tight almost hard, plus I have a raised bump of tissue in the middle on the back of my ankle.). So, I may be using the wrong term, forgive me. As for treatment, at physio they do massage,…

SQUATS!

Squats and lunges are best for your butt! Once you start doing them for a while, you'll get better, and you'll see results.

It could be done, but it will take a lot of hard work and discipline. Do you best; maybe you don't have to be exactly that weight to fit into the clothes. Keep some handy and use them to measure how you're doing. When you can comfortable zip up the pants, you've made it! Good luck!

Thanks for posting! Awesome story!

Good advice, and attainable! Thank you for posting this! My stomach is one of the areas I'm most concerned about (I think if I could flatten it out I would feel a lot better about myself).
-
Awesome story, thanks for sharing!! Your hard work has paid off, you look great and I'm sure your family is happy you're going to be around for a long time!

Great start! I have a lot to lose too. For me, I try to look at smaller goals because looking at the big picture can be overwhelming sometimes. Feel free to add me, I'm on here every day!

25 is very close to "normal" BMI, and if that's a current pic of you, then you are in no way overweight!

Just get back to your plan. Eat on plan, don't try to eat less to "make up for the bad day". Yes, it happened (I have done that MANY times). Okay, see if you can learn something from it so that next time you're in that situation you don't fall into the same traps.

First of all, congratulations! Now, in answer to your post, In THEORY it is not hard. I know what to do - eat less, move more, and eat whole, unprocessed foods for the best results. However, I do struggle mentally. I've been on this path for years and it can be so demotivating to me, that I can't get this part of my life…

I usually go to all you can eat sushi every week. I do two hours of working out that day though. And I try to avoid the rice. I do eat some tempura (seriously, it is soo good! lol). I eat a lot of sashimi and salmon when I go.

Actually, she said July 25 so it's 9 weeks, which is 2 lbs per week, more achievable.

Here your exercise is similar to WW giving you APs, but here you get extra calories. So if you're exercising, then use those to eat extra on your weekends. However, you can't hold on to calories like you can all those extra points WW gives you....also that could be a reason you've plateaued.

I think it would be cool....but then why do they put that heavy lead shirt on you at the dentist when you're getting an x-ray of your teeth, if the radiation is not that high?
