I guess it'd be OK for that initial motivation to lose weight; you see a result so you continue on but they don't change your lifelong habits do they so are you going to continue taking them forever? It took years for us to put on weight and it'll take a long time to lose it again. There are no shortcuts. Plus I've heard…

Have a biiiig glass of water instead of the cherries. A lot of the time we confuse hunger with thirst.

I think it goes when you really start seeing results. If you don't have it, and don't see it, you don't want it. I used to be a chip addict, my exbf told me I wasn't allowed them any more and to have a side salad instead of chips and before long, I stopped craving them and didn't want them and best of all, they started…

This. This this this. wow, lightbulb moment.

I find weight loss is on delay so it's probably just weight loss catching up from when you were exercising/eating well but if you didn't start eating well/exercising, you'd put weight on.

Yup! The wrong shoes are the worst for shin splints. I'd recommend going to one of those stores (Nike has one) where they film you walking and jogging in the shoes you are trying on to see if your foot is straight. I used to get shin splints until I had this done and now, my shins are as happy as lambs.

The faster the better. So punk music generally (pennywise, nofx, frenzal rhomb, propagandhi) or slipknot. the Fat Wreck Chords compilations have an assortment of punk music and are mostly great songs. I found a few Florence and the Machine songs great for running to. I also like songs with a fast chorus then a middle speed…

Weigh everything before you eat to ensure serving sizes are correct. Preplan your meals and put them into your food diary the day prior and don't sway from your plan. Stick pictures of hot bodied people on your fridge. :)

cgernhard, I'd recommend not weighing yourself for a couple weeks in case it discourages you. Get your diet and exercise back on track to undo any weight gain damage and you'll be fine. I went to a one year old's birthday yesterday - ate soo much crap, THEN ate 2 chocolate bars and a 600ml choc milk on the 2.5hr drive…

Also put it out there to the public and your friends what you weigh and what you're going to do about it. Recently I posted on facebook that I had reached my heaviest ever (I also put what I weigh which was a brow sweating moment-a girl's weight is supposed to be private hahaha), I was going to take control and get back to…

I'd say, get a personal trainer for a start. You'll have to report to someone at a certain time each week, they'll teach you technique and they'll give you workouts to do that you would NEVER know of without them. Plus you have to pay and it'd be a waste of money to eat crap if you're paying to lose weight. Find a work out…

Also think to yourself, if I stop now because I haven't lost enough, and in 3 weeks time I've put that weight back on, how will I feel. Because I could have spent those 3 weeks exercising and fair enough, maybe I hadn't lost 5kilograms but I lost SOMETHING which is better than having to re-lose the weight you've just put…

You sound like you're a little burnt out by the food preparation. I agree with the others, make it simple.

Don't feel ashamed. Use the weight you used to be, the weight you have lost and the weight you have to lose as motivation. Think 'I will never be that big again, I am now in control'. You've already lost a 1/4 of your weight goal. That is AWESOME! Put your head down and work your butt off to get to the halfway mark, lift…

I don't think that is a gain in weight at all because weight fluctuates-you could be retaining fluid (were you drinking a lot of water then stopped. If you normally drink a lot and then stop, your body will retain fluid for a while until you are regularly drinking it again), it could be to do with hormones-were you…
