It's a good way to kick off an unhealthy attitude to eating and a fantastic way to ensure that you won't succeed at a) being healthy long term b) creating long term healthy eating habits c) losing and keeping off weight. How about just eating healthy nutritious foods instead of some ridiculous stringent diet?

why are you complaining about this? inches lost is what you want - who gives a crap about a number?

I normally do chest press with a barbell. I decided to use a bar with weights but didn't factor in the weight of the bar when calculating how much weight to load on it. I laid down, lifted the bar off the hook, lowered it and couldn't lift it off my chest. Help I squeaked. Some guy had to come save me.

Can I suggest you go get shoes properly fitted. I used to get shin splints, I changed shoes to ones that benefited the arch on my foot (I'm pigeon toed) and shin splints be gone!!

If you're asking if you worked out hard enough, you didn't work out hard enough.

I'm confused. Do it and see. Why are you asking us if it will?

Are you logging the food from the restaurants? If not prepare to be gobsmacked at how much the calories are. I check the menu ahead of time and calculate the calories. If the calories are a blow out, I make sure I do some exercise in the morning to lessen it. Choose healthier options. If you're 30, you could have 40 more…

I would say that because you're eating it all in one go, it'd hang around longer than it would if you ate 3000 extra over the course of a week. But now I think about it, I'm not sure that makes sense. The thing about cheat days is to not go and eat 509820498 calories, you still need to keep it reasonable but also ensure…

These all involve using his hurt shoulder. Best he avoids them for now, but once his shoulder is healed then they're great

Do a google search for 'too much cardio + research'. It seems from a lot of the hits that too much cardio is detrimental - read only reputable websites as there's a lot of heresay and crap on the internet pushing false information. You can't cheat the system by doing excessive amounts thinking that it'll help. Weight loss…

Do lower body exercises instead. Squats, lunges, sit ups. I think you ARE doing too much. 2000 calories a day is a lot - why do you want to burn that much? All you'll do is burn yourself out. It's not sustainable. If you have pain, you need to slow down. and yeh, too much cardio can have a negative effect - I don't know…

how can you expect sound advice when your diary is locked?!?!? This is something Ill never understand; people who want advice but keep everything locked so no one can actually give any

jesus christ.

open your diary so we can help you lose as much weight as possible. start interval training. HARD interval training and strength training. push ups, sit ups, dips, keep rocking that *kitten*. keep your diet as en pointe as possible - salad, steamed veg, lean meat, limit the bread. You have 32 days and you should be able to…

just you. it worked for me just now

Open your diet up so we can see what you're eating

Cook double the night before and eat the leftovers for lunch. I usually cook roasted vegetables, steam some brocolli and peas/corn and grill some lean chicken or pork - cut the chicken breasts or pork in half or quarter so it's only a small portion (because I dont need many calories and a full chicken breast is like 4x…

if you're not getting calorie burn from resistance training and weights, you're not working hard enough.

at the bottom it says quick tools. click that then select the day you want to copy to. Once it's copied to the new day, if it's in the wrong meal, click the individual food and change to the meal you want it to be

Actually, all calories are NOT created equal. A very quick google search: http://time.com/2988142/you-asked-are-all-calories-created-equal/ http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jeff-hyman/calories_b_5473743.html

You are effectively walking/running downhill unless the treadmill is on a 2 percent angle. Increase the incline and try it for a couple weeks. My personal trainer told me that I need to do a 7x7. 7speed, 7 incline and for 20 minutes, I run on the treadmill for 30 seconds, then jump my feet to the side for 30seconds and…

you aren't eating enough - I don't consider 1200 enough except for shorties (I'm short but I still eat 1600 on a day when I exercise and around 1300ish on days I don't). Also investigate exercise options that don't require your ankle to be sound. Swimming? Upperbody weights as previously mentioned. Don't give up, it's…

Eat slower. Put your knife and fork down after EVERY bite. Chew thoroughly then when you've swallowed, pick up your knife and fork. Don't be distracted when you eat, properly think about the food you are eating so you're not mindlessly devouring food. Have a full glass of water before you eat anything.

It depends on your body shape, some people will always have bingo wings but they'll have a nice butt. I'm lucky in that I lose weight off my arms super easily but sadly not off my butt and thighs. If you're a fat arm kinda person, you can't spot train to reduce off that particular area but you can always get a bit of tone…

You can have mine.

I'm always really iffy about the calories that people state they've burned.... unless they've used a HRM. 660 calories doing yoga? mm, I don't think so. If I do a 5kms run (up hills at about a 6min per km speed) which takes 30minutes, I burn about 300-350calories. (5'3, 65kgs). Don't compare yourself to other people. Just…

yup! If they're the wrong shoe, your legs align incorrectly (if you're pigeon toed and roll in, they'll make you roll in more and vice versa) and it puts pressure on your ankles, knees and back. People with bad knees and the like often have the wrong shoe. So simple.

You can pay $25 at Steve Nash in Vancouver I wouldn't pay more than $15 and even then, I'm outraged and expect a first class place ;)
