In saying that, long distance is definitely not my favourite but is fine because we have a strong relationship and it's just a matter of time; If there weren't a way for us to be together at any point I probably wouldn't get involved in a long distance relationship.

I'm Australian and my boyfriend is Scottish. We met in Australia, spent six months here, three months apart, two years in Scotland and now we're apart while he waits for his Australian visa and if he doesn't get it we won't think twice about moving to a country we can both get visas for.

You look amazing! Can I ask how tall you are?

It'll be okay. If you're in Beijing or Shanghai you can probably survive without it but it's also not too difficult (as far as languages go) to pick up.. The grammar is very simple and there's a set number of pronunciations. I found too that the tones come naturally as you learn words. In my experience, if you're…

I've lived in Taiwan and China and put on loads of weight both times and could never really figure out why until I had a Chinese person teach me to cook and realised that almost every dish has sugar along with boat loads of oil. So, I'd recommend being aware that even food that seems pretty healthy (like stir fry) probably…

Bumping for the next instalment...

I love this SO much.

I saw his show a couple of weeks ago and he said 'Eating white rice is the same as eating white sugar.'

It's free. I think there is a paid upgrade but I don't know what it includes. The free part allows you to track your calories, steps, distance, flights of stairs, and sleep along with exercise, food and weight. You can also see a graph of how active you were throughout the day and how well you slept. I LOVE mine.

You don't have to have MFP and Fitbit linked so you are able to unlink them and use them separately if you don't like this function :)

Solidified duck blood (melts in your mouth!) and chicken hearts :/

Brilliant.

I get this too when running so am very interested to see if anyone knows why.

Age: 23 Height: 165cm Start Weight: 92.9kg Current weight: 68.6kg Goal Weight : 65kg (and then I'll see if I think I need to reevaluate)

Great suggestions! Thanks everyone :)

I LOVE my Fitbit but I have a HRM which I also love and use for specific workouts (like roller skating!). I think the sleep tracker is nifty but I don't find it particular accurate which I would assume is because if I'm awake and trying to get back to sleep I'll be lying still and so it thinks I'm asleep. There is a…

I only wear mine to workout because it's quite chunky. I think typically they look fine on men but can look a bit big on women in my opinion.

Thanks everyone!

This as a general rule (although if I'm with my SO we both use MFP and sometimes both take a minute to log at the start). When we go on holiday we usually don't have our phones on for the entire time and I love it! I love the convenience of being able to use the Internet anytime but I am sure I could live without my phone…

I've been vegetarian for years and I can't stand the smell either but I totally agree with this.

I majored in Chinese (Mandarin) and lived in China for a bit and now that I am doing a whole bunch of translating as part of my post grad study I really wish I knew Chinese... better than I do, anyway.

I followed it very strictly for 30 days as a trial run/experiment (with no slip ups) and felt awful from days 2-6 but then slowly felt better. By the end, though, I felt exactly the same as I do normally except that I was having a lot of trouble sleeping. I would be super tired when I went to bed but wake up a couple of…

I'm 5'5 and 153lbs but I have a large frame and am naturally quite muscular so my goal is 140. I was aiming for 125 originally but I have realised that it wouldn't be a healthy weight for me (given that I'm currently an AU size 8).

Zizzis don't but most of their meals are in the MFP database.
-
I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner and either a snack in the afternoon if I'm hungry or dessert. I find eating the three meals keeps me full and satisfied and prevents me from making poor decisions.
-
I log everything.. I had a 3800 calorie day last week :/

Veg shops are usually cheaper than supermarkets for fruit and veg but you also might be able to find one (or a farmer's market) that sells pre-made up boxes of assorted fruit and veg at a discounted price.

23, taken, teacher?

I read (but can't find the article now) that's it's a common misconception that cats bring you things as gifts; They're actually trying to teach you how to hunt in the same way they would teach a kitten and the first step is to bring you dead things. I guess your cat thinks you're not being a very good provider!

I love cauliflower, broccoli and beans in stir fry or curry which tends to change the texture quite a bit from just steaming or boiling it. I really don't like cooked mushrooms (or anything else slimy) so I avoided them altogether for years but as it turns out I really like them raw! Maybe if you haven't already you could…
