  • Welcome! Fellow Scottish lass here! Born and bred in West Lothian, living in Glasgow! :)
  • I am currently losing weight to receive IVF. So I am losing to hopefully one day get pregnant. (6 years of Infertility, and I have had enough of my weight and waiting to get some help!)
  • Glasgow girl here :o)
  • I am still a way off of my goal yet, but I am currently living a Low GI lifestyle. In 6 weeks I have lost 22lbs. My starting weight was 282.8lbs. The Low GI is great for my PCOS but also great for my husband who is diabetic. I felt like it was worth a try and so far I have no complaints. :o) ETA: I picked up a book on the…
  • Bulgar Wheat is a great substitute for rice! :o)
  • I find the easiest way to log Jambalya and such is to input all of the ingredients you use yourself, then split it into however many portions it will serve and save your own. I use Bulgar Wheat instead of rice, just as tasty but lower in calories :o)
  • I am currently eating a Low GI diet for health reasons and Hatha Yoga is my main type of exercise. So far I have lost 17lbs in 5 weeks, although I do have a long way to go. At times I do also walk and belly dance and use the fitness ball and band, but mainly I do Yoga. I love my Yoga practices, all of which I do at home 5…
  • I'm not 100% sure, but I have noticed that on my exercise days, MFP tells me I will weigh less than on my rest days. So my first thought is it has to do with my exercise for the day. I may be wrong though!
  • I am currently doing the Low GI lifestyle diet, and so far so good. I read a lot about it helping with my PCOS and decided to give it a go. 14lbs in 4 weeks so far!
  • I'm also losing weight to get IVF at the moment. I have another 104lbs to go until my goal weight, we have been trying for nearly 6 years now. Feel free to add me as a friend, if it is one thing i can understand it is the frustration of infertility. :o)
  • Bonny Scotland here (Strathclyde). There seems to be quite a few of us here!!
  • I started my journey with my first goal being 115lbs, so far so good! You can do this! :o)

  • We have some in common, i am 28, have pcos, and my starting weight was 282lbs. Im fairly motivated myself, so if you want to send me a friend request i wouldn't mind at all!! :o) Lots of luck on your new journey!! :o)
  • Im not sure about food saftey etc, but don't open your freezer, keep it closed. Opening the freezer after a power cut will cause your freezer to defrost quicker than if you leave it closed. If you have milk in the fridge pop it into a bucket of cold water, it will keep it from heating up and turning too fast. Other than…
  • I drink fruity tea, Twinings Starwberry and Mago, Blueberry and Apple and Cranberry, Raspberry and Elderflower, and they have 2 calories in them. I don't take sugar either. Avoid teas with caffiene for Migraines, buy fruity and herbal tea as natural as possible. :o)
  • Having been in and around the fertility field for a while (6 years of infertility) I have gained alot of knowledge, men don't have a biological clock as such, like women do, but if you have a low sperm count it can impact fertility as you get older. While if you have no known issues with your sperm count/morphology/etc I…
  • Welcome fellow gamer! Im a WoW geek too :o)

  • Hi there, I also take metformin for pcos, i was diagnosed in 2009. I take 1500mg per day, but not the slow release ones. So far my weight has fluctuated up and down on it, depending on what i am eating. I am pretty much just starting out on a new lifestyle change, and eating a Low GI diet while taking metformin. I have had…
