MFP still doesn't have a setting for this, despite many requests. Add 300 calories to your recommended intake. If it were me, I'd drop my deficit down to a half lb a week instead of a whole pound, but file that away under "better safe than sorry." Have you talked with your doc/midwife about this?

Beans! Chickpeas (a.k.a garbanzo beans) are super cheap and so nutritious. You can make hummus for a veggie dip, and have veggies & hummus for snacks instead of crackers -- much healthier AND cheaper. Roasted chickpeas are also a great snack; you can experiment with spices for you and the kids.

Some people are really picky about that stuff; I'm not sure why. I delete folks doing unhealthy stuff (ED, etc.) that I just can't support (and don't need the stress), people trying to sell stuff (lots of shakeology reps on here!) and drama queens. This! ^^^ I don't know about the mold (first heard for me), but I think fresh-ground tastes best regardless of what nut you use, and I LOVE the taste and texture of Almond butter. The only thing we use peanut butter for in our house is peanut butter cookies (and I sometimes use PB2 in a protein smoothie).
