That's clever, @midwesterner85! Great incentive. My coworkers and I have been making a point to go out for a walk at lunchtime every day that it's nice outside. Today our walk was cut short by rain, but I still got something in!

It works! Thanks!!

PS - it's in view only mode, I think you need to change a setting for allowing others to edit?

Re-attempting 135 Fitbit miles, and also re-attempting 900 intentional exercise minutes. When at first (April) I don't succeed, try, try again (May).
-
Congratulations! Way to go!
-
I came close to my Fitbit goal, so I'll be shooting for that one again in May. I had grand intentions of tracking minutes spent exercising, but that fell apart as soon as I got busy and started spending weekends away from home for trainings and trips. I'm not sure I'll track that again... I may try, though.

Upping my Fitbit miles goal to 135 since I exceeded 125 in March. Decided to switch to minutes instead of miles for exercise - going to start with a simple 30 minutes a day to keep me accountable. And then next month I'll up it!

I'm happy I was so far ahead of where I needed to be, because in the last week I had a root canal that didn't go well and then Easter festivities with the family so my miles dropped for the last few days. I'm feeling way better now, so I'll end the month on a strong note and above my monthly goal. Good luck to everyone for…

Hopping back into this group after several months away. I did C25K last summer, completed it, did a 5K, and started working towards 10K... and then winter hit and I foolishly decided to hibernate. I feel like I've lost all the running endurance and momentum I had last year, so I'm doing C25K all over again to get back into…

I should reach my fitbit miles goal without any problem. I'm not so sure about the exercise miles goal... if it'd warm up outside, then it would probably not be a problem because I love walking outside.
-
I set up my column H to calculate miles to go divided by (31 - number of days filled in) and that calculates more accurately, I think... feel free to copy it.
-
Hate to be a downer, but I'm not sure column H is right. It's the miles left to go (good) divided by 31... which is all the days in the month, not the days left to go. Unless I'm misunderstanding something??

After disappearing from MFP for a few weeks, I'm back. :) Thanks for putting this up every month!
-
That's awesome, @jcbenes!
-
With the shorter month (and my inability to make my usual monthly goal so far) I'm adjusting my miles downward and then hopefully can strive for more miles in March.
-
Congrats @mamarundrc!!
-
@gkingbr Absolutely! A couple of us (including me) are using our data from our Fitbits as well. As long as there is interest, I believe the mods will continue to post monthly challenges.

At the halfway point I am behind. My current battle is having no desire to leave my apartment to go work out when it's sub-zero outside. (And that's subzero Fahrenheit, in case anyone here is from outside the U.S.) These are the days where I wish I had enough room in my apartment for a treadmill. Later this week it's…

Missed my goal in December by a lot, but it's a new year and I'm signed up for a 5K in March. Time to get moving again. I'm going to keep my same goal, 150 Fitbit miles for the month.
-
I'm super behind, and there's something about the lack of daylight and the cold that makes me want to hibernate. I've also had a hard time finding extra time to get steps in with all the holiday activities. I'm going to try to end the month strong, and reset for January.
-
Slow start for me, too. I got invited to a work week challenge on Fitbit by a friend, so that should help kickstart my week.
-
Great thread idea. SV: Be sub-200 lbs by 6/30/16 (need to lose about 25 lbs from now) NSV: Run a 10K (no walking) by the end of the year.
-
Wow, what a difference! Great job!
-
Attempting 150 miles as tracked by my Fitbit. Again. I'd love to end the year on a high note!
-
Finally caught up my tracking, and wow I pretty much ground to a halt during week around Thanksgiving. (To be fair, my scale told me the same thing this morning.) Needed the wake up call. Onwards to December!

I'm all ears on anything to keep me motivated over the winter - I think my next race will be in March, and that's a long time to try to keep myself going on my own. I'm not sure I could do a road race over the winter, cold air and my lungs usually don't get along, but that was before I started running so maybe something…
-
@taeliesyn Thanks! We've been lucky this fall as we usually have snow by now. I don't have much winter running gear since I only started running this summer, so I may be making some purchases really soon. Otherwise I may end up on the dreadmill, blech. Also, running over 50K is massively impressive. Great job! Went for a…

Thanks for the reminder about the FitForGood, I need to go sign up for that...

Hey there, sort of new-ish around here. I'm doing a 5K to 8K program (and will continue to 10K after that), and I started week 2 this morning. A bit on the cold side - it was 38F when I started. Since I don't like treadmills I want to run outside as much as possible until it's too snowy/icy to do so, which will be soon as…
