  • Melissa I thought about you all Saturday morning! I am so glad you enjoyed it and that it was a great experience for you. Kudos to you for doing it!!! Good Job!!:drinker:
  • OK Jual...the slow cardio is tripping me up. I have been reading a lot about this lately but I am somewhat in denial. I am a runner...I run 5-6 times a week and usually run 4-5 miles each time. I have been doing this for well over a year now. At rest my heart rate is pretty low...right around 57 so when doing (a multitude)…
  • Thanks Cindy and CP for the words for the encouragement. I am very glad you had a wonderful birthday CP! Who cares if you gained a pound, or just didn't lose...not saying that will be the case....but if it is, you had a great excuse and a great time so it's worth it! I got a 5.5 mile run in today so I am feeling a little…
  • Hey Kechie! NO WAY...thanks for the advice but surgery is not my thing. I had to have my tonsils out over Thanksgiving and ended up hemorrhaging and having to go in to the hospital for a couple of days....for a tonsilectomy!!! :noway: Elective surgeries just aren't my cup of tea. I think I will stick with the drugs for…
  • Sorry to hear about your daughter Mireille! I hope she feels better soon and that the illness skips the rest of your family! Well, I am truly frustrated and down! I am up 2 pounds this morning. I only took 2 days off this past week...Thursday and Sunday. I always take Thursday off because it's the day I volunteer at the…
  • :explode: Ok...I'm mad at myself. We had graduation party after graduation party this weekend and we're on the road a lot which meant unhealthy fast food and boy did it ever catch up with me!! I am to say that I am up 2 pounds 170!! I could just kick myself. OK...reality check it's back to logging everything and buckling…
  • Hi all! just thought we needed a new string! Have a good weekend and make sure that you weigh in on Monday! Good luck with the bra search Jenn! I vote to get the black dress by the way and match your hubby!
  • I got 4.5 miles in today! Yea! I thought it was going to be difficult since it's hot and my asthma is kicking but I actually was beating my pace by 30 seconds per mile!! :drinker: Hey MKing! Good luck tomorrow on the run! Remember we are all going to be running with you in spirit...pushing you to do the distance. My…
  • SPARKLES....hahahahaha.....You already have the stomach I want!! You go girl, get it now because once you have kids it's a little more difficult to get and keep.
  • Seize the moment ....do what you can when you can. I always find when I put it off it often doesn't get done because of all the other things that seem to pop up and need to be dealt with. I am running here at 9 AM. Get the kids on the bus and away I will go.
  • Don't sweat the small stuff Kim! You have done an excellent job so don't beat yourself up over a pound or two which can easily be worked off. Remember we all fluctuate between 1-3 pounds per week because of sodium, water retension and then true weight gain potential. As long as you use your scale as a guide to make sure…
  • Good attitude Kerri! I like your positive thoughts. I have been frustrated to because of a considerable slow down in my weight loss, but you know... I look in the mirror and think...Wow, I am still a lot better than where I was 3 months ago and I am 2 sizes down! I don't know if I will ever get to that size 8, probably not…
  • Way to go Mireille!! I did something yesterday that my friends trainer told her to do to change up her metabolism...I jogged on the treadmill backwards at an incline. It took a few minutes to get settled in and get into a consistent pace. WOW!!! That was tough. I worked muscles that I didn't realize existed!!Of course I…
  • Well go have a wonderful, relaxing birthday with your honey! I will be thinking of you and sending warm wishes your way. As for your family members and the biological clock....don't let them persuade you! Take your time and enjoy your husband for a while. Once you have kids your relationship changes drastically. Not in a…
  • If I could send you one of these brownies I so would!! The way they taste they are worth running 3 miles for!
  • OK...I did it. I compromised though....I only ran 3.5 miles. I am definitely taking tomorrow off, I always take Thursdays off as I volunteer in my sons' elementary school all day every Thursday. Thanks for the words of encouragement and push to get out there. I do feel better after running! You gotta love endorphins!!…
  • Thanks for the well wishes, thoughts and prayers guys...it really helps! But CP the big 30?!!! 30?!?!?!?!? I wish I were hitting the big 30! I am going to hit the big 40 ( but not for a little while)!!! When is your birthday? I hope it's wonderful and filled with lots of excitement and happiness!
  • Well, I was going to blow off running today. I ran 5 days in a row and then took Monday off, ran 4.5 miles yesterday and was going to take today off just to be lazy. But no....you guys are so peppy about the run I am actually feeling guilty about sitting here on my couch and enjoying some lazy time. I should be…
  •    You make me laugh! I could shove a whole loaf of bread down my throat at any given time, exercise or not!
  • Hope you heal quickly! A day off exercise to relax and enjoy a beautiful day isn't a bad way to spend time! just sorry it couldn't be from better circumstances.
  • Welcome to you to MindyR! I didn't mean to leave you out! Good luck to both of you!

  • Hi Kal! Welcome. I joined this website back in January and also wanted to lose 66 pounds. I am now more than half way there so I can tell you that if you stick to it and exercise a bit, you will lose the weight. Of course, there will be weeks that you do everything right and you will not be rewarded with any loss...it…

  • YUCK Lauren....that was a bad day! I'm sorry it went like that. Here's to a new day with better outcomes!:drinker: I am taking today off from exercising, I think. I always say that and then I don't follow through because I'm compulsive with exercise:tongue: But I really think today will be a lay around day. I ran yesterday…
  • That's worth some brownie points!!
  • Ok my running pros...I have a question for you. Have any of you seen an exercise physiologist? I have been reading all this information about trying to be in your "fat burn zone" and it's really confusing me. If I run at the pace that is my "fat burn zone" I am running really slowly about 1/2 to 3/4 a mile per hour less…
  • You know, I have to agree with Jenn...when I stopped losing weight for a while I didn't work out for a day or two and I ate more calories...thenI switched up my work out routine and either went 5 minutes longer or raised the intensity just a little bit. I drop every time I do that. Keep your chin up!
  • ANYONE FLABBY AND DISGUSTED?? Ok. I am thrilled about my weight loss but it's almost bitter sweet. Besides the fact that I have very few items in my closet that I can now wear and can't afford to go out and buy a transition wardrobe, I now have more flab then I ever had!! I now have an intertube around my hips...it's…
  • Hey Jenn...get rid of that mean scale, just chuck it! I am right there with you, in the sense of being off your goals and not having accounted for the weeks that you wouldn't lose. Heck, I also didn't account for the couple of weeks that I gained a pound, which I think I did this week. The last time I checked in I believe…
  • Hilarious!! That really made my day! Thanks!
  • Ok...I didn't check in yesterday. Are we all still doing the weigh in on Mondays? I only saw one other weigh in, but I didn't look too closely. I actually am retaining this week...thanks Auntie! I am going to go with what I weighed on Sunday before I received my visitor. 169. By the way, nice pictures Jennifer...you look…
