  • I usually make my morning coffee and fill up the pot to "5 cups" then drink it all over a cpl hours or so. Then I may get another coffee later in the day...iced with milk and cream.
  • I've done this so many times. But then I get back to the gym or get active and that seems to help mentally which is 90% of the battle for me! I've also been slacking with the gym due too weather...we've gotten more than twice the amount of snow so far this year and expecting more soon. Just try to focus more on your diet…
  • Yes...I hope your Mom caught the cancer early! As far as feeling guilty...I used to feel that way, but now I've tried to focus more on my diet so I don't freak out if I don't get a workout in. What do they say...80-90% diet and 20-10% exercise??? I'm going to start back up again soon. I think this past Winter was the…
  • I think it's difficult to see how we really are because we FEEL like we aren't good enough. I've never been skinny skinny...always have been bigger than the average girl...being 5'11'' and having meat on my bones. I never wanted to be rail thin...but just in shape and tight. But I do hear what you're saying. It's like we…
  • I'd say keep up the workouts and try to reduce body fat. I'd LOVE to have muscles popping out of my thighs. I have a knee thing going on so I haven't been able to really do much over the last few months. Going to try to build up to it slowly again and reduce the BF% so what muscles I DO have can come through. Good luck.…
  • I'm so sick of thinking about what I'm going to eat all of the time and I'm also getting bored. I almost wish I just had zero appetite so I could just eat whatever and not care. I would seriously do something like Jenny Craig or some meal delivery service if I could afford it!!
  • I'm 5'11''...although I think a wee bit taller first thing in the morning, lol. I am currently about 172. Last time I had my weigh in it was 171.2 and then period/PMS hit. I'd say I wouldn't mind hitting 159 and then re-evaluating how I look and feel. I'm a tight size 10 right now. I would just like to be a loose 8 and not…
  • Pretty...but not my type.
  • THIS! Also, Tara is the contestant to whom Jillian had the "eat chocolate, have a drink..." conversation with. I liked her a lot, too. It's like once they get going, they don't know how to transition into normal life again. They should have a transition period, maybe not to be televised, but somebody that the former…
  • There isn't really just ONE outfit I wanna rock. I want to look good in EVERYTHING I have. Is that too much to ask for??? Oh...and also especially look good in NOTHING.
  • Yet again...MORE inspiration to hit the weights!!! I just wish I could afford a trainer to MAKE me do it!!! I've become so lazy over the last few months! I need to just DO IT!!!
  • This is me today, also! I just did some laundry. Cleaned a bit. Straightened up some clutter. Checked email. Have been off and on this site. Planned out my checkbook for the next year (don't ask.) Watched a movie. Just ate some popcorn. Also shoveled earlier and burned 276 calories in 25 minutes (wearing a HRM.) Planned…
  • I know what you mean about EVERYTHING. It's also snowing here in NY today, and the gym hasn't been calling my name for a while! I do play tennis 1-2x/wk right now, so that's something. So I've decided, until Winter subsides a bit, to just focus on eating at my calorie range. I was doing what MFP suggested to lose .5lb/wk.…
  • To get back into the 160s...so about 2-3 lbs. That would be FABULOUS!!!
  • If it were me...I'd keep it at "sedentary" just because I'm sure I'd be taking a munchkin or two here and there for the first 6 months!! Or too much free coffee...light with cream and spenda. Now I want coffee. :drinker:
  • And this, too! I've kept my eating at 1900-2000 cal/day and haven't gone crazy overeating in almost three weeks.
  • For me to succeed...or anybody, I think we need to get in the habit of making better choices. Just because you ate 4000 cal already, doesn't mean you can't begin today. Just think of the further damage you COULD do if you "put it off until tomorrow." For me, tomorrow never comes. You only have right now and all of those…
  • I know that if I'm truly hungry...then I want actual food...not cakes, cookies, candy...all of that. An apple looks good and I want something that will make my stomach stop grumbling. Also, I find I get distracted and start thinking about food when I'm physically hungry and I start getting irritable. I guess others can…
  • I think it also depends upon what you have your weight loss/goals set at. I have mine to lose 1/2lb/wk just because I cannot eat less than 1900 cal/day or else I will end up bingeing once or so a week undoing everything anyway. So I end up maybe eating only 1/4 of my exercise calories. I go to the gym and play tennis a…
  • This happened to me last night. I try to eat real foods when I get like this. So I had some cheese, piece of toast and almonds. Just enough to satisfy that little hunger pang. Then I went to sleep! Also, try drinking hot tea...that can help. It happens to everybody. Just get back on track ASAP.
  • Wow. I hope she is correct!!!! Eating 3150 cal/day!?!? I guess if you like to run that much! I'd rather cut back on the running and eat a little less, lol. Good luck and congrats on the loss!!!
  • Because it's free and keeps me accountable to myself! Now to get my *kitten* to the gym!!!
  • Workout clothes. But just seeing the scale read a smaller number and fitting into clothes better are reward enough for me!!
  • Ditto that. I have so many clothes that don't fit properly. For me, it actually makes me feel worse. I want to feel good in what I wear NOW so I stay inspired. It just depresses me to see clothes I WANT to wear now, but can't because they don't fit...yet. But that only means shopping in my closet down the road.
  • I'm not at goal yet...but would also set my goals to maintain and eat. Also, I would weigh myself frequently to monitor my weight. Then adjust as needed. I hope to be working on this in a few months or at the very latest, by Summer!
  • I just got blood work done, triglycerides, cholesterol...etc etc. EVERYTHING was awesome...except for my BF%. I was at 24.9. I know, not terrible...but could be better. I'm physically healthy so far. I've been exercising since high school so that's probably why numbers are good. HOWEVER...I would love to drop a few BF…
  • Wow! I actually responded to this 8 months ago!!! Almost to the day! And I'm still at the same weight give or take a few pounds. Guess it could be worse!! I really need to start strength training again. :ohwell:
  • This...but I'm 5'11''. I would LOVE to hit 159...then see where I am. I had my bf comp done this past week, and it's at 24.9%! I did weigh in at 177 that day...period was approaching two weeks early at the time. I'm usually at about 173-175 over last year or so. I WAS 168-171 a couple years ago. Would love to get back down…
  • This is SOMETIMES the excuse I use to not work out...but not too often. I usually just use a very little amount of shampoo, if any at all, then rinse well and condition as usual. I'm trying to not use my hairdryer until my hair is mostly dry and use my flat iron sparingly. I've noticed a lot of breakage lately and have…
  • This. But I would consider ONLY if I find the right guy and marry him FIRST. If it happens it happens. If not, then it's all good. Oh...and 40 end of the year.
