  • She's obviously jealous of your success and worried about attention you'll get from others. Just reassure her that you love her. I'd rather have a husband like you versus one that just sits around and gets more and more out of shape! Keep it up, sir!! :drinker:
  • That's all I do is bounce...from 175-173. Just lack of consistency for me. :ohwell:
  • I usually don't get cramps but get bloated, puffy, clutzy (sp?) and irritable/tired. I usually can still workout, but yesterday I was working and could hardly stand up straight. I then went to get some food for dinner and was standing on line at the store (12 items or less) and the girl being checked out had about 3-4…
  • I'm not one to be patient, but unfortunately patience is key in losing weight...along with consistency! I've found that once I start being consistent that the weight does come off. But it'll be .2 lbs one week...1.8 lbs three weeks from then. As others on this site have said, weight loss isn't linear...it has ups and…
  • I'd just record what you weigh once a week on the same day and time each week. I only record gains if they stick...which hopefully they don't. I don't record normal fluctuations.
  • Can you just grab your husband and work off some stress with him??? :blushing:
  • I'm not addicted to food...but during that time of the month I do get more cravings and tend to eat more of the junky food. The rest of the month I'm totally fine, so it definitely (for me) is hormone driven. I also do fine with the activity (tennis, gym, weights, etc) but those few days of the month tend to set me back! I…
  • I also eat the whole egg. I sometimes have a couple for breakfast or in a sandwich. I'll go through stages where I'll eat too many and then back off of them for a while, but not due to calories or fat...just get tired of them.
  • This is EXCELLENT advice and just what I also needed to hear, today! I weighed myself after a few weeks of getting back into weights and am UP on the scale although I feel better. I was almost in the mindset of saying "sod it," too...but then figure what good will that do me?? So I will head to the gym soon and burn off…
  • ^^^ I hope it works out! I will jumping into the online dating scene again in another 6-8 weeks once I move and get situated in my new surroundings! I'm 5'11'' so I'm hoping for somebody a bit taller than myself this go around. My ex is 5'8'' but it never bothered me...I just never wore my higher shoes with him. I guess…
  • I'm initially attracted to guys with short hair...but it really depends upon the guy. I can appreciate all lengths on women...it really depends upon face shape as for what may look best on that woman. As for myself...I think I look best with a chin length or longer cut. I'm currently growing it out so it's more one length…
  • I just bought a massive jar of it today!
  • I can play tennis or do hiking for that long...but NOT be in a gym for that long. I like to be efficient...get in, get done, get out. I used to spend a couple hours/workout back in college and maybe ten years after when I had time to kill. Now just trying to be smarter about what works for me.
  • Maybe just say, no thanks, and move on...change the subject or lie and say you're diabetic. It's nobody's business what you eat so don't worry about it.
  • I'm not really sure HOW to explain it. Obviously a deficit is a deficit and one will lose weight if doing so either through diet, exercise, or diet AND exercise. I think he was just saying that my body is stressed and burning sugars/carbs vs the fat it SHOULD be burning at certain heart rates. So he wants to condition me…
  • Ugh...I used "you're" instead of "your"....shoot me now. There is a ton of snow outside my window, too! This is why I haven't been into going ANYWHERE except for work and maybe tennis...even tennis has been a battle lately. But SPRING IS COMING!!! And frankly, I don't want my backside handed to me anymore as far as weather…
  • Lol...I didn't realize that either until I read your response! To OP. For me, I do tend to level off for a few weeks until my muscles get back into training again. I usually start to firm up and then the weight starts to come down again but a bit more slowly, for me. But as long as I lose inches and get firmer AND my…
  • I'm 5'11'' and I was at about 168 for a long time...up a down about 5 lbs. Now lately I've been at about 173-176. My goal is to lose body fat and get to a size 8. Right now I'm in a 10, so I guess I'd have to lose about 10-12 lbs or so and build muscle. I'm aiming for about 160 but will see how I feel once I get there. I'm…
  • These days you don't have to go to Walmart to do this...any old mall will do...sad.
  • Maybe just cut back to half of what you were doing to LOSE the weight. You're maintaining now, so you can be a bit more flexible. Play around with the calories but keep up with the activity 1-3x/wk and find out what is sustainable for you. Good luck! I was in a funk over the last 6-8 weeks. I'm just now coming out of it…
  • NORM!!!!!! You NEED something to look forward to so you're days go by! I'm coming out of my slump because I am excited to move soon! Now I'm just moving an hour south down to Westchester...but I have more of a life down there and can make changes! If you STILL feel this way when Spring comes along...then DO something about…
  • I was JUST thinking about this because I had my RMR tested and the trainer suggested that I start lifting to gain more muscle and cut back on the cardio. He suggested this because I, personally, am burning more sugar than fat. He wants to flip that so I burn more fat than sugars and to do that I can do cardio, but it won't…
  • I've actually thought about that, too. But I don't eat back all of my calories so it doesn't really matter. I had my RMR tested and it was 1860 and add on about 500 for every day activity. So I just eat about 2000 cal/day even if I exercise. I want to lose fat and gain some muscle, so I'm giving this about 3 months to see…
  • Yeah...basically every day. I have a major sweet tooth. I eat everything...in moderation. There are some days that are FULL of treats and other days where it's just whole grains, lean proteins and salads. I tend to look at my overall week and throw in some fruits and vegetables if I know I'm lacking in those areas. It's…
  • For me...I tend to stay full longer when I eat more fat and protein...but I HAVE to have carbs...no way around it. This has to be sustainable for me in order to NOT go nuts and binge.
