I've just made me best guesses and over done them, so I will stay within or under my daily cals. Calorie Count cals were very different to MFP for some of them!

I used to do MFP and WW and love MFP more. Basically on WW when I logged the foods to MFP it was around the 1200-1300 cal mark... so I know what to do, I'd rather use the free site :)

For example a snack for me would be 6 crackers with avocado slices on top.... I've reduced my crackers to only 4 now, but have the amount of avo needed.... I save cals somewhere to spend on avos for the health benefits. You are better off eating some avo, than a manufactured full of preservatives dressing if you ask me.

Avocados are not only expensive to buy here, but also expensive in cals.... it's the one thing I splash out for I couldn't live without them! They are a source of amazing fats and have loads of health benefits!!! Don't hate the avocados!! Work them into your diet...

Some days I am over on carbs, like today I'm having a carb heavy day, but other days I wont'. Often if I'm over in sugar it's carrots not cakes that I am eating - so go figure!! :)

If you are having a bit of a plateau, then jumpstart things again by changing your routine/workouts/times/food/types of food/times of meals etc.

I'm on 1330 cals per day and try to stick to that like glue - I pre log as much as I possibly can - it really helps me. I always try to have a proper breakfast too, as it stops me snacking. I've made lunches my "main" meal of the day also which is good. Goodluck - it's not as hard as you think once you get into the swing…

OK, thanks guys for your replies - I guess I was equating "soreness" with "muscles working"... ie: feeling it after the workout. I will continue with this program and see how I go.

I'm doing 3sets of 8reps for all movements, which I'll look to increase to 10, then 12reps. If I can do that, I should be lifting heavier. The Olympic bar weighs 20kgs (not loaded), which I am squatting... I'm not sure it's enough, as I'm not feeling it - I do when I do the movements, but then I feel fine in the day or so…
