I'm here too, first day (AGAIN) today, losing weight I've lost and gained 10x over. We can do this, and you are so right, it is only ourselves that can make that happen! Go well girls, I am here with ya!! :)

Hi there, could anyone help me with setting my macros for lchf? I don't want to go as high fat or low carb as true keto... but I'd like to lose a bit of weight.
-
So, I've logged my food for today, coming in at only 1211cals. I'm supposed to be eating 1459. Does it matter that I'm coming in lower?
-
Thanks Lisa, I think I might invest in one, I've always wanted a tracker - it may be a real eye opener for me! Thank you for your comment.

I have looked online and reset my macros, IIFYM says: 124 protein / 66 fat / 91 carbs, 1459 cals.

Dragon - I have it set to sedentary.

Hi Lemur, I think you hit the nail on the head. I wasn't eating extra on 1200 when I was exercising. And, 1675 seems like loads of cals to me! So I don't really know where to start with setting my goals :( Sadly. I am only 5ft 2 at a push, 35yrs, female, with a sedentary job. I do lead an active lifestyle outside of work,…

Hi Riverside, I am only just back to logging on here as I have been using a low carb app lately to help me with my try out of low carb (but the App sucks, lol, so that is why I am back here on MFP! Love MFP.). So yes, my tracking on here isnt' really anything to go by, there are no entries. I would love help with setting…

Hey Anvil, yes I get that, I've been on here a while, but I am trying new approaches, as eating 1200cals and exercise wasn't working for me. Neither did upping my cals, nor anything else. For some people it ain't just "the maths" that works for them.

Hey guys, thanks very much for your responses. I'm sorted now! Appreciate the advice!
-
Thanks very much, that was what I was going to do anyways, but I wondered if there was an auto one on MFP which would do it for me. hehehe.. lazy. :)

Perhaps your SO and teens need to do a bit more around the place to free you up for a walk or something, to do something for you - you are no good to anyone running on "empty". I am an extremely busy person, but still manage to do something (even something small) for me and my health most days. How much do you want it?
-
Do you think it give a decent workout though? I definitely sweat! Yep, have checked online and have often rowed, so have pretty decent form...
-
I don't bother recording mine in all honestly EmilyC... I just take them as a win :)
-
I love HIIT workouts and they are amazing for getting lean. I am on Facebook and follow Brenda Vance.... she has some amazing kickbutt work outs :)
-
Hi Mandalou, I started with a PT 7 weeks ago, I see her 1x per week and we have a good workout! I aim to do 1x at home work out also of the program she has given me. Those two sessions are purposeful and I really try to work my hardest I can. In addition to that I do walks, jogs, bike rides etc when time allows... but I do…

Surely someone loves bacon and knows the answer to this??

Is it called rope jumping, or jumping rope? I have tracked that for now... I hope I am on the right track.

I'm 5ft2 and currently 150pds... I would like to be about 140pds. When I was younger I was 120pds if that.... and thought I was huge :( But now I'm 32yrs I would kill to be sitting nicely on 140pds for a start.
-
When I was doing deadlifts even with a smallish weight my form was off and I got a sore lower back... once my PT corrected my form I was away... you need to be sure to keep the weights close to your legs etc and back nice and flat/straight... and don't be shy to stick out your booty!! :) Goodluck :)

Water is water... to me... I count only water as my water :) Very rarely I will have a cup of herbal tea, made from scratch with water and I will count that towards my intake.

Thanks alot, I am just chuffed spending the dosh buying the book won't result in a waste of $$$. I am going to give this my very best go. I do enjoy lifting, and by default am active in my daily life (have dogs, horses, farm work etc), so never really feel like banging out heaps of cardio... so thanks for your response. I…

^ words of wisdom right there... :) nicely done!

If I have eaten wisely all day and good choices and need an extra piece of fruit or some veges to see me through the day then I will... but I track everything. If I have eaten badly or too much of the wrong thing, then I usually don't as I SHOULD have made better choices :)
-
Weebs you rock - love your work!! You look fantastic!! I feel so proud for you :)
-
Fruit is really annoying, I only eat a peice probably every few days - as every day I do eat it, I go over in my sugar macros. I don't worry about it too much - lots of people on MFP have told me not to worry too much.
-
Hey hey, I am only 5'2 aswell... and I'm trying to lose a similar amount to you- or even half would be nice! I was pretty active, but now winter is here and I have no daylight to exercise in, I am back to 1200cals daily, or less... depending on my choices for the day. Hope that helps.
-
Yeah of course - no worries mate :) I understand!! :) Hope you have a good day planned -
-
Hey chick - I have been doing IF 5:2 for a week, today was the start of my second week. I have got a bit of crap from some people (friends), but there are people who support me too. She is only your flatmate and I would tell her to butt out, in a nice way. You can always resort to the "I had something earlier"... or…

Yeah they often put japanese mayo or "yum yum" sauce into sushi sometimes, I don't like it myself... What I don't get is what is a ROLL in the USA, versus a PEICE here in NZ? IE: Our peices are about 1.5inch in diameter, and 0.5 inch thick... and weigh about 30-40g. So for 100g ROLL that is in MFP, I'm usually eating 3-4…
