Okay I am doing horribly so I haven't lost. So I'm not posting. The scale is starting to go down so next week I will post my loss!

I ate lightly before the meal, didn't have any appetizers. Then ate only a serving of almost everything, minus the mashed potatoes and gravy. I did indulge in a piece of pie. I felt I made good choices while enjoying my holiday and not feeling deprived. The most important thing is that I am learning to think differently…

Are you taking diuretics? Water pills can make your pee turn a bluish or greenish color.

No food or any kind of liquids including water during the fasting time.

Try to eat as healthy as possible and exercise if it's possible. When you break your fast eat a small amount, then wait 30 mins or an hour to see how hungry you really are. Ramadan is a beautiful month, so I wouldn't focus on losing weight. Focus on why we are fasting.

I would talk to him about it. Men think differently than we do. He may assume that you can eat treats in moderation, since that seems to be what he is able to do. Explain to him that having these treats around is too tempting for you. Good luck!

First of all, Congrats on having your husband back! That is definately reason to celebrate! I would consider it a cheat day. We all have them. Just move on and eat your normal calories and the body will adjust.

The way I lost 35 pounds in 6 months was to cut back on my portions (try cutting your portions in half and see what happens) and not eating processed or fast food. Good luck to you!
