Have you tried roasted kale chips instead of chips. OMG, they are so delicious with the crunch of a chip and you can season them with whatever you like. I like a little garlic powder and paprika on mine and a little tiny tad of sea salt. Sooo good and good for you! http://www.kalechips.com/

You can get nitrate free bacon and sausage at most grocery stores and super Targets. Sometimes I will make Paleo Scotch eggs. They are soooo yummy and you can eat them hot or cold. Make a batch on the weekend and enjoy them all week. They do not cost much. They are also delicious dipped in a little yellow mustard. There…

Roasted beets are also delicious and beautiful on your plate. I like to combine red beets and golden beets. Directions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Coat beets lightly with oil. Wrap beets in aluminum foil, place on a baking sheet, and roast in the oven until cooked through, approximately 45 to 60 minutes. Test them with…

believe it or not roasted radishes are divine. They taste kinda like roasted cauliflower, but with a kick at the end. Delicious! Ingredients •2-1/4 pounds radishes, trimmed and quartered •3 tablespoons olive oil •1 tablespoon minced fresh oregano or 1 teaspoon dried oregano •1/4 teaspoon salt •1/8 teaspoon pepper…

Some Paleo people eat it - some do not. I personally do not. I use other fats such as coconut oil, avocado oil (which is super yummy) bacon fat and olive oil.

I read Gary Taubes book 3 or 4 years ago. I think it is a great book.

I know. But there are also a lot of people out there who have wheat or dairy intolerance and do not even know it. Sometimes it's hard to tie in food with digestion issues or asthma, etc. It took me several years to tie it together. I read the book Wheat Belly years ago and that is when it clicked. I was not eating wheat…

Both. Wheat gives me unbearable asthma and the dairy was making it worse. I realize fruit has sugar..... but it's not table sugar. I eat a grapefruit or two every day. I need the carbs for my workouts. It's been awesome so far.

I've been doing Paleo for the past year. I can't recommend it enough. I went from a size 10 to a 2. My muscle tone is awesome (I lift weights as well) and I feel better than I have in years. I have a lot of energy now and very little hunger. It turns out I was allergic to wheat and dairy. So cutting these out along with…

Exactly. I just wanted to put my experience with it out there. It works wonderfully for me and if people want more proof.... oh well. Google is their friend.

Oh really? Look at my belly. It's fat as a board and well muscled. I eat a lot of coconut oil, avacodos and nuts and seeds which are high in calories and lost over 8 inches off my belly in a year. I attribute it too a diet high in healthy fats (and lifting weights.) You couldn't be more wrong.

Well, I'm Paleo. .... but I wanted to share my story of the wonders of coconut oil. I eat at least 4 table spoons of coconut oil a day and went from a size 10 to a size 2 in 3 months. I also dropped 25 lbs. I lost 30 lbs from Feb. 2011 to April 2012 then stalled until Feb 2013. Then I started eating a lot more coconut oil…

The stomach, butt, arms legs are hard work and clean eating. http://www.thegraciouspantry.com/what-is-clean-eating/ The hair is extensions and the boobs are silicone.

Once I stopped eating wheat and dairy the pounds flew off. It's easy to do once you start doing it. Google clean eating for ideas. I make a lot of salads as well with lean protein. I also found that wheat was making my asthma worse. Since I've stopped I rarely have asthma.

I still take the Advair. I just cut out wheat and sugar and I am still able to lose weight. Like a poster mentioned above, Advair makes your blood sugar high so you have to be careful what you eat.

Hi Trudy, I have been in the same boat since 2008. I got pnuemonia and it trashed my lungs and I've had severe asthma ever since. Initially I gained 40 lbs in 2 months from the prednizone, advair and sigulair they put me on. I've managed to lose 30 lbs 3 times in the past 4 years only to gain it back when I had to go back…

I also used it. I would take a teaspoon in my protein drink before I hit the gym. I think it did help with my weight loss. I also use it as a body lotion every day when I get out of the shower. Good stuff.

RIP Robert. You were an inspiration. I also love my Oxygen Magazines. I think he was the real machine behind Tosca's books, etc. Although she is also my role model.

Wow, you look fabulous. I bet you feel like a million bucks too!

How about plain greek yogurt and then you could stir in some honey or fruit. It's delish.
-
You could make some omelets and freeze them. They freeze very well. You could make one with feta cheese and spinach or salsa and spinach. Also have you heard of overnight oats? Here are some overnight oat recipes http://www.katheats.com/favorite-foods/overnightoats…

How about a resistance band?

I would recommend you start taking a glucosamine supplement that also has MSM in it. The pain is very normal btw. A lot of folks get it. Congrats on your new fitness routine.
