I suffer from a lack of energy due to my thyroid levels, taking vitamin D helps! But I too have settled into a slump the last couple weeks, part mental part thyroid levels.

Hi MeepleMuppet. I was told to make sure and drink a glass of water with my meds, not just enough to swallow them. I don't drink a big one but do get a small glass in. If you are looking of more Thyroid Cancer related stuff Inspire.com has a great Thyroid Cancer forum with lots of info. Your weight may not be totally due…

Teresa, Have you tried upping your calories? From all I have read most thyroid cancer survivors actually burn more calories then those with a thyroid. It takes about 2 weeks of doing that to see any results but I would recommend it. My BMR test says that I need around 1250 but if I stick to that I gain weight, if I up it…

Wrapping the leash around the back of their torso is a good thing to try. What training methods have you done? It will take time (and some times months of time) but the way I train against pulling & running off is as soon as they pull we turn back the other day. A walk may only get your 10 feet from the house and last 20…

Can't add much to what others have said but from experience if I eat anything less then 1400 calories I gain so it may be that you need to up your calories. Have you tried work out videos that incorporated weights, lunges, etc.? I've found those to give me faster results then just doing them in the gym. Sorry to hear about…

Mine came out to 1700, which is a bit high. I have MFP set at 1400 because after some trial and error that is what works for me. I do not lose at 1200 and am always hungry. 1400 is the perfect balance. However I do sometime eat some of my exercise calories back so it may not be too far off

I had mine removed 4 years ago and have finally started to drop weight. It took a lot of trial and error. I work out a lot and eat 1400 calories per day, anything less I do not loss. I've also added in Vitamin D supplements which help with my energy level. What is your TSH level? Mine hangs around .17, I've had it as low…

I actually don't have big goal and have been setting samll ones as I go. My first was to loose 30 lbs by November but as I get closer I changed it to 40. I have a goal to walk 30 miles per month and to work out 6 days a week. Also have a goal to fit into a few clothes items that I haven't worn in years!

I could use some friends too! Feel free to add me, I could use some encouragement and will return the favor! I started in April with a goal to lose 30 lbs by November. I'm not at 25 lbs lost and have upped my goal to 40 lbs! I log in most every day and my food diary is open to friends. I don't have kids, just a dog, am 35,…

Sound like maybe you are looking more to be toned then to actually loose pounds? If it already fits I'd recommend adding in toning exercises a few days a week (or even every day such as 50 squats a day, 50 planks, etc) and that will help you to look and feel great. I'm not short but have a good friend who is so can…
